We are revealing the 4th DLC character this week at ComicCon after the premiere of the final ep of Mortal Kombat: Legacy. July 21st at 7pm.

I am going to guess that maybe its because Mortal Kombat can be celebrated at Comic Con. I dont know if they ever had a comic but that fact that it has a show now I can see maybe pushing its way into those doors. Not to mention all those crazy artophiles making up stuff for the franchise.

Hope not, but wouldn't be shocked. NR have done a great job with the DLC characters so far.

If it happens, hope it's at least someone who fits in the way Kratos sort of fitted into the universe.

Comic Con isn't just about comics...its more than that, but alas, MK did have a comic book series, which would be best to not mention ever again lol
 
I highly doubt the 4th dlc character is someone not in the MK universe already, or at least I'm highly against it.

Apparently, the game has code for FUJIN on the announcer, so its almost confirmed that Fujin will be the 4th DLC character. Maybe in another wave, or in MK Ultimate :p

While not out of the netherrealm of possibility, I would bet that the character will be 100% MK. It will have to be out there though, seeing as they're announcing it at an event. Maybe a brand new character? A new cyber character? Cyber Scorpion. You heard it here first.

And that's just one of the many that say Fujin isn't going to be it.

It's so that they can announce "Komik-Khan", an alternate costume for Shao Khan. 

They reveal tons of irrelevant to comics things at comic con. It doesn't mean its a DC character.

Comic Con has become more about reveals then about comics in past several years that I've noticed.

As a comic fan I can tell you in no uncertain terms, that the San Diego Comic Con, is about comics IN NAME ONLY!  in the past 6 years or so it's been completly co-oped into a general media event with a slight "nerd" bent to it. 
 
Just look at the lineup of panels, you will mostly see panels for upcoming movies and ongoing TV shows more than comics.   
 
NRS is announcing the character here because it is simply good timing at a big event with mass media coverage.  I guarantee  the character will have nothing to do with comic books/DC.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's Batman... I would be a bit disappointed though.

Ed Boon messes with people on Twitter a lot, but the fact he's mentioned it's not Fujin so many times, leads me to think it probably isn't him. Yeah, there's an announcer voice, but that could very easily have just been a place holder. Whoever it is though, they're keeping it secret and giving it a big announcement, I could see it being Motaro or some guest character, but not someone as standard as Fujin or Tanya.

(For the record, I am 100% against guest characters).

I think it will be a non-MK universe character and heres why.  The first two characters were leaked almost instantly when the game launched.  Later a third was given a name  way before its release date.  If it was just another person from the MK universe I think they would have announced it by now. Just my 1...2...3...4, 4 cents

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was Ed Boon himself.

I don't give a fuck since all DLC characters are banned in tournaments. 

It is going to be a 2000ad and DC crossover using Dark Judge Joker.

Maybe it will be Batman 1 million, he's like Batman but can do martial arts with his mind, so expect an Ermac type character.

I'd kill for a playable version of Shao Kahn.

Tremor would be an interesting choice since he was originally suppose to be in MK3, but was replaced by Rain... his picture was also shown in the manual book but was incorrectly labeled as Ermac.

Well that's true, for those who aren't familiar with Mortal Kombat history and development probably would've never guessed that to be Tremor.

Ed Boon has been saying no to this on twitter since Rain was announced.

If it's a DC character, they'll finally have a worthy fatallity, hopefully Batman. That way he can kill.

No, its not known officially yet... she has appeared chained upin Kahn's arena since the release date if you played as Kitana in that stage.
