Weee.... I so excited that he has his signature "force ball" and teleport roundhouse.  

At the beginning of the trailer I was getting bummed because he looked he was just a character with rehashed moves (Noob's teleport throw and Sektors teleport punch) ... But I ended up getting excited overall when his signature moves was shown.
 
That force ball has to have crazy combo-potential... I suck at combos, so I'm SO gonna hate coming up against Rain-players online :-)

Rain looks like he plays better than I initially thought, which is good... I still say lime and blueberry will be Sonya and Jax klassic costumes.

Completely. Still keeping my fingers crossed for Tanya...  They didn't reveal the two klassics either, but I'm am 90% certain it will be Jax and Sonya.

Looks an awful lot like Sektor with a mixup game. Goddamnit, looks like I'm going to end up learning him.

I really hope they start enforcing compatibility online. All these cool DLC characters and I can only use them half the time.

Doubt it. If they could do that, they would have by now. If I had to guess, there is probably some limit set by Microsoft about the maximum size and/or frequency of forced updates.

Think Rain might be taking issue with that philosophy, that guy seems to be cascading malice. I think he looks utterly fantastic, they really captured him as an element, which is something I don't feen they've necessarily done for some of the other characters. I'm willing to take bets on that his lightning attack is named "Cloudburst".

Though I really do hope that his water-teleport won't work in the same way as Sektors, or we've definitely got an overpowered character on our hands. This bugger seems to have at least 4 different specials that would allow him to start or continue a juggle.

Really like his look, was hoping that they would keep his facemask like it was in Armageddon while covering the rest of his head with the usual ninja head-thingie.

My only gripe with the DLC characters so far is that they don't have any spoken lines in their intro's or Outro's. It's all generic "hee"'s and "haa"'s.

Yes, his projectile was controlable back in MK Trilogy.

He kinda has the same mask... still the veil covering the mouth but the rest is a hood versus a crown. I like this better, because he has ugly hair, like Smoke's hair, cover that up please lol

I kinda phrased that poorly. What I meant was that they did exactly what I was hoping them to do; Kept his mask as a veil while covering his head with that rubbery ninja goodness.

In short I agree with you.

But i like his rain bubble a lot. I think, i'll stop using Nightwolf because Rain has better lightning strikes.
