Been getting this message for the past 2 days. Only been able to get into 1 online match. I downloaded the balance updates a couple days ago, couldn't get into a game with them so I tried deleting them. Got into 1 game without, rematched with the same guy, then it desynched.

Anyone else having these problems? I have been able to play online prior to downloading the updates.

Been getting it for the past few weeks, or since Scarlet came out. I thinks it because other people aren't Downloading the compatibility updates.

Why isn't the compatibility pack part of the patch, rather than being optional? This seems like a REALLY big oversight!

But I played with a guy, then hit rematch and got a desynch message. I'll probably try re-downloading the updates just to be safe.

Agreed. Make like Bad Company 2 where they make you download a big mandatory patch for the Marketplace so this shit doesn't happen.

I believe Microsoft has a limit on the size/frequency of mandatory updates that could be the problem here.

They do. Bad Company had a massive update that was mandatory after Vietnam was released. So when you went into multiplayer, a window popped up that said you have to download this and it was a 2 gig file from the marketplace.

I haven't desynced for a few weeks now. 

Is this for PS3? 
Because I haven't experienced that since the Kenshi compatibility-pack (and a software update)

Still having a lot of problems even finding a match, and this happens in way too many once they finally do connect...

I love the game, but trying to play online is a chore.
