Megaton is a small town in the Capital Wasteland. Notable landmarks include an undetonated nuclear bomb, worshipped by a cult known as the Children of Atom.
The post-nuclear apocalyptic version of Washington D.C. and the areas that surround it. This wasteland serves as the setting for Fallout 3.
The Church of the Children of Atom is a cult located in Megaton that worships the live(or disarmed) atomic bomb at the center of the town.
The United States serves as the location or the back-story of countless video games. It also plays host to some of the largest game development studios and publishers in the world.
After The Great War of 2077, most of the world was reduced to a barren desert, now known as The Wasteland.
