    Mushiking: King of the Beetles

    An arcade games where players fight with large beetles in a turn-based rock-paper-scissors fashion. It was unique for its time with its collectible card system, allowing players to scan barcoded cards to change beetle species and attacks.

    I can't find any proof that the arcade game was released in America yet I played the arcade game sometime in the mid-2000s at Walmart and even got some of the cards.

    I specifically remember encountering this at the arcade in the Puente Hills Mall in CA around 2006-2007, but I can't recall if it was in english or not. This same arcade had the Hokuto no Ken game where you physically punch the panels, so I'm guessing the Mushiking was also an import.
