I'd like one, but I really don't want to drop another $200 for another goddamn 3DS.

I've been thinking about replacing my normal 3DS with an XL for some time. The new 3DS XL only adds more incentive, so I will almost certainly get one...eventually. For the same reason I never got around to getting that XL, it will probably be awhile, because I'm broke as fuck and I don't need one.

I probably will. I'll likely wait until Xenoblade comes out, though - there's no need for the New 3DS until then. That $100 trade in deal from Gamestop is tempting, though. I'd do it if I could transfer my purchases and stuff, but losing everything on my system is a deal breaker for me. I don't even really care about most of the saves, but losing the games I bought is too much. Nintendo's tying purchases to hardware is really stupid. ><

They've been out here for a while, so I've been considering it. But then that Xenoblade port seems to be the only game exclusive to it so far, and I really don't need that in my life. I'll wait and see if anything substantial comes out on it.

Then again, I still want to upgrade to an XL...

No. I need a good reason to upgrade, and while Xenoblade is certainly a fantastic game, I'm not going to invest in the opportunity to just play it on the go (if I were, I'd buy a PSVita first to play FFXHD on a handheld).

Definitely, I was going to get the 3DS when I heard this was announced so I've been waiting for it to be announced for the states for awhile. if I have the money to spare by the time it launches I really want to get that Majora's Mask limited one, it looks beautiful!

I keep passing my 3DS's along to friends for a bit of cash to offset the new one. Got the Majora's Mask one preordered. Looks great.

Have they announced pricing? All I have seen are the EU and Japan pricing.

Just found it on Nintendo's website. Their site also says that Majora's Mask doesn't come with the special MM New 3DS. That seems weird.

@corevi: I preordered the MM edition and it was 200. Only stuff that comes with a game will be higher it looks like to me.

I have a regular XL that I really like and I own Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii so I'm not seeing much incentive yet. I'm not sure what they could do to make me want one, but I'm pretty sure they'll figure it out eventually.

I bought an XL about a year ago, so I'm not in a hurry to get a new one. It'll be interesting to see how they handle exclusives for this thing.

I'm thinking about it because I'm still using a launch 3DS and want to get an XL, but at the same time, I don't think it's worth paying that much just for the larger screens. I'll probably get one, but I guess I'll wait for a good sale or a must-own game that requires it.

I have had a 3DS since launch day and I've been wanting to get an XL for a while. I think this is a good excuse. Especially since some games suck to play left-handed without the circle pad (which I own), so having it integrated would be nice.

I voted yes on this initially, now i've seen the price which seems about normal for the launch of new nintendo handheld, but I think I will wait for some price drops or deals that include other bonuses.

I'm happy I didn't buy the original 3DS, and instead went with a cheap, used DS a couple of years ago. I'll probably pick the New 3DS up in a year or so. I don't have any immediate need for a handheld system, but it's got an interesting game library.

If I could get the non-XL one with the super famicom colored buttons I'd be fully on board. As it stands now, I see no real reason to upgrade.

Yeah, I'm in the UK and plan on getting the white New3DS with the coloured buttons. I wont be buying it anytime soon after release though.

No, I'm not buying another 3ds. Its what the 3ds should have been in the first place. I'm also not a fan of the XL. My Fire Emblem 3DS is much nicer than any of the limited versions they've offered for the new 3ds imo.

I would consider it if this one wasn't region locked though. Thought Nintendo was going to change their stance on that.

Already own it, imported it from Australia. But then I was jonesing for a 3DS upgrade anyway, since I got mine on the release day of the original 3DS. Also I wanted to get that XL upgrade, as I'm not a big fan of those small 3DS's.

I voted yes, but there's an asterisk next to that one for me. I'm only going to do so since the price is effectively slashed in half if you trade in your old 3DSXL at GameStop. Were it not for that massive discount, I wouldn't go near it.

I'm trading my 3DS XL in for a standard size New 3DS. I don't like the 3DS XL since it's more prone to fingerprints, quite hefty and the screen shows the pixelation of the 3DS even more.

I feel more likely to slip the New 3DS into a jacket pocket and take somewhere. (It looks nicer as well, let's be honest!)

I've never owned or played a 3DS and I've been wanting one ever since Fire Emblem came out. I was thinking about trying to get one sometime last year, then the New 3DS was announced. So, yes, I want to get a New 3DS. I don't know when I'll be able to get it, though.

I don't technically "need" to, but I have had my 3ds XL since it launched and the thing has some signs of wear. I just have so many digital games/saves on it transferring could be a major pain in the ass.

In my end of the world we got the option for the regular New 3DS, so I think I'll go for that.

I've been wanting to go back to the smaller form-factor for a while now and the extra battery life and better screen will make this worthwhile.

As for the faceplates, it's a nice feature, but I don't think I'd buy any. However, I do have a friend who's a pretty awesome artist (Skorpemund on Instagram) so maybe I can convince him to do something cool with them for me.

Not unless the non-XL comes out here. It already has a bigger screen than the old, regular 3DS, and owning the old XL, I'd prefer a screen size somewhere in the middle.

Yes, because I have not owned a Nintendo portable this (past?) generation. I usually buy a Nintendo portable towards the end of the hardware's life span when there are plenty of good RPGs to play on the system. I little to no interest in most of the regular Nintendo fare but for Bravely Default, Fire Emblem, Persona Q, Fantasy Life, and a new Pokemon, I'm ready to take the plunge.

Sucker reporting in, i guess. Main reason being my xl is kinda scratched/beaten up, and i think falling asleep on it once or twice with the thing open has jacked up the 3d some. Also hattery life seems to have gone to crap. Probably will be happy with Xenoblade and having the c stick for monster hunter/smash bros.

As of now, I have no way of playing Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate when that comes out, so I'm definitely planning on it.

I will probably wind up with one at some point. I've gotten quite fond of portable gaming since I finally laid out the scratch for a Vita last year, so additional portable options are super tempting.

I just recently got a 3DS XL and I don't see a need to upgrade again. If it had another full circle pad instead of a laptop nipple I'd probably consider it, but as it stands there's not nearly enough of a reason to upgrade. That being said, if the new Fire Emblem ends up being exclusive to the new 3DS I'll upgrade in a heart beat.
