Anyways, so this team is for 360, it will accept all Whiskey Media users at any position. We'll be wearing a jersey that uses the old Minnesota North Stars logo, but with a different colour scheme. If you would like to join this team, please respond in this thread, or in the form of a PM with your XBox gamertag, position you'd like to play (Centre, D, LW, RW, Goalie), and level of experience with the game. If this is your first time ever buying an NHL game or you haven't played it in a while, don't fret about the experience level thing, this is just so I have an idea of how much assistance I will need to provide to help you understand the controls and mechanics of the NHL series, which I will be happy to do with novices. I won't turn anybody away because I'm afraid I won't get enough respondents.

@Suicrat: Yeah, I have LIVE. I've just never been a part of an EASHL team before.

I'm pretty sure QC still has to get a new arena before they can get a team, but I might be wrong, somebody can correct if I am. I'd like for them to get a new team though. I think what's great about the expansion in non-hockey markets is that more kids are growing up with the game now because there are more local hockey programs in those areas. We've already started to seen kids from California, Arizona, Texas, etc. getting taken in the draft. And if there are more players, that means there can be more expansion teams without diluting the talent level.

No, you're entirely right about the positives of expansion. As a Canadian whose favourite teams are from California and Florida, I have a hard time making the case that Canada benefits in so many ways by exporting the game to the south.

I haven't really delved into the EASHL experience before, but I have been played a whole goddamn lot of NHL 2003, and scary amounts of NHL 09, 10 and 11. I'll gladly hop in and play some!

Im interested, NHL 11 was my first of the series, played a ton of it offline but never got into the online because every game i played people always scored crazy amounts on me for some reason. Would love to be part of this, i'll play any position sept goalie.

I sent a join request. I'm willing to play any position but I'm terrible at goalie so you probably don't want me there. Played a lot of NHL 11 but mostly regular games not be a pro or eashl.

I agree with you in principle, Bam, but what we really need is experience. Games help us boost our stats and since practice mode is just 6-on-6 against AI and we don't get experience, we might as well keep playing actual games and practicing different strategies and plays therein. The seasons are monthly, Septembers's half over, we get a clean slate in October, so the losses won't hurt us really.
