Looks like the oven wasn't hot enough.
Oh DDI how we remember you not for your whimsical characters or amazing story telling abilities no we will miss you for the atrocious, misconceiving, lazy attempt at making a game for a console that had so much potential. Oh lord where do i begin so DDI is well known for the amount of bad games they pushed on the Wii making sure that each game had a cute and inviting cover to trick mom's into picking up their games. Well this poor chap had the misfortune of playing their masterpiece, a game so ungodly it beckons for the apocalypse. NinjaBread Man is a game created from the Godds Engine, a game engine created by DDI it's so claim to fame was that the engine enabled DDI to slam games out quicker than Freddy K shooting out one liners. So you think you can tangle with this gingerbread man.
Story- Your Gingersaki and you've been created by your master the muffin man who wants you to travel to candy land and destroy the evil Candolopis who has turned the worlds inhabitants against you. Ok so that's actually not the story, i made it up but you kinda of have too seeing as DDI was infamous for not including stories with their games.
Graphics- I know the Wii had it's limitations but i've seen the Dreamcast pump better graphics than this and the game came out many years after the dreamcast's life ended. The Wii is much more capable of handling better graphics, we've seen it with zelda and the Last Story and this game was a PS2 game and still is just with gimmicky controls added on.
Control- How on earth did they manage to mess this up i don't know but let me tell you this slashing your Wiimote side to side hoping that something happens will be the majority of your game time, the controls are very unresponsive and the camera only ads to the frustration.
Sound- Your typical DDI sounds check here with the same music as most of their games and it shows what limitations the GODD engine since every game has identical sounds so not much going on here mediocre at best.
Replay- Why would you want to replay this gem i mean sure there are some stages to unlock and such but no attention was given to the game so you can beat it rather fast and never have to think about it again.
Final Word- I know that somewhere in this game there is a good idea being held back by DDI if another developer were to tackle this game it could have made for an interesting experience instead of it being just bad so rent-buy-throw away it's your choice.
