@shindig: Yes. PES never went away, they announced that Metal Gear Survive as well, so even if they aren't cranking out games every month, they're still in it.
I think I'd be way more interested in this if it looked like the sweet 2D art in the second half of that trailer.
Bomberman is probably the exact kind of simple local multiplayer game that works super well on the Switch, but this kind of looks way too busy to be great for that?
@shindig: sure but it was just a bit of that and they weren't rly zombies, now they are making a full on zombie game with generic characters and roughly the same map.
MGSV was a lot of retreading the same map. Hideo and his team spent four years (at least), at the cost of $80m and came up with something that was half done. And yet strangely 100 hours long so Konami pushed it out.
Konami gave this man so much rope. They backed him on P.T. and then, as soon as he started chasing big names, they could see another long-winded money pit. Thanks to all of this, Konami's more risk-averse than ever and will find it very hard to push talent the way they did with Kojima. And, at the end of all this, it's just Metal Gear. A brand. A name.
@shindig: Thanks to Konami Kojima couldn't receive his award he won at the game awards, also Konami used the Ps3 port on pc for PES last year and the year before that.
And yes Metal Gear is just a brand and a name but it's also my favorite brand and name so it's kinda heart breaking seeing them do this to it.
