    So here's the scenario. Nintendo wants to make a brand new IP (I know it's ridiculous, why would they do that?) and you're in charge of coming up with it. What would be the story, the lead character, and the title.

    I wouldn't make a new IP. I would remake the original Zelda except everyone would look like Pikmin.

    Genre: Shmup Adventure. 
    Gameplay: The shmup has been a struggling genre for a while now and Nintendo feel they can innovate in this area by altering its traditional gameplay style. The game will combine aspects of shumps and action/adventure games. There will be moments of intense shmup action interspersed with non-action based exploration and puzzle solving.
    Main character: An anthropomorphic pineapple-like creature called Yorkshire.
    Premise: Yorkshire must set on a journey to find the 8 Air-Turtles, each with a different power. They must combine their powers to form a shield in order to stop the intergalactic threat of the Globonns. Each level will end with Yorkshire fighting one of the Air-Turtles, in order to prove he is worthy of their power. Once Yorkshire reaches the 8th Air-Turtle, something bad happens - Markan, the leader of the Globonns attacks before the last air-turtle can be activated. You must use your wits and your shmupping skills to triumph in this spectacular final showdown!
    Title: Air-Turtle: Yorkshire's Big Adventure
    System: Initially on the 3DS, with a sequel planned for the Wii.

    Well Mother 3 is that, really, you could say. But I agree that an Itoi game is what should be made. Only for Europe though, because bwahahaha.
