@fisk0: For my personal head-cannon I like to think some an ancient race of warmongers peppered that planet with self perpetuating mines and the mines were set to explode when it encounters rival alien race that had the misfortune to also become extinct.

@selbie: Those last two look really weird. Have you tried mining any of those structures?

@merxworx01: yep, just the standard ferrite / plant matter materials. Makes me wish they did something unique in terms of resources.

Yeah, something like that was actually kinda what I expected - that I had stumbled onto a later part of one of the story lines or something, those spinning ones just look really sinister, so it's a little disappointing that they're only considered plants by the game.

Has anybody else tried to scan their own freighter and ended up with this discovery message? I wonder if one of the devs has that username.

@fisk0: haha they forgot the 420 "blaze it". Also found a new bug where if you have more than one ship and you jump into a different starship. Then scan it, it will show the stats of the previous ship you were in. This game is full of weird quirks.
