Overview

The Patriarch is a hulking mutated scientist and the central antagonist in the Killing Floor series. He serves as the final boss of every match in the original Killing Floor, and as one of the final bosses in Killing Floor 2. He later became playable in the Vs. Survival mode of Killing Floor 2.

Prior to becoming the Patriarch, he was Kevin Clamely: the founder and CEO of Horzine Biotech. He was originally hired by the British government to create the perfect super-soldier. As development went underway, his team's methods and results were deemed too immoral and controversial, and his project was seemingly shut down.

However, he secretly continued his project deep within the city of London. As some of his fellow scientists were leaving, he became paranoid that his work would be revealed and underwent several surgical operations to protect his work. These operations include a cloaking device (used on Project Stalker), modified neuro-stimulation systems (allowing him to self-heal), a nerve-controlled weapons platform for his left arm (containing a gatling gun, missile launcher, and mortar system), and heavy gene-therapy (which heavily mutated the rest of his body). Dubbed "The Patriarch", he used his new form to protect his "children" (the Zeds) as they start the outbreak.

Like other Zeds, he received special outfits in seasonal events throughout the series. This includes a robotic Santa, circus ringleader, vampire, and rural American sheriff.
