Aaaaaaand already at capacity. Filled up about as fast as the PAX panel!
PAX Prime 2015
Concept »
The twelfth PAX Prime took place August 28-31, 2015 at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, Washington.
Hey, we're having a PAX event again with room for everyone!
Just hope I put in the right Username at the bottom, no way to check so I'll find out in Seattle!
Its at capacity already so good luck to all the other Bombers!
I couldn't get tickets to PAX (too damn expensive on secondary market) so i'm glad i get to at least got to this!
Of course after worrying about this morning I lost track of time and got 30 min late to it anyway. Oh well, fingers crossed.
Waitlisted. What's the waitlist process like? Should I just keep an eye on my e-mail for changes/updates?
Edit: Someone asked Rorie the same question on Twitter--here's the answer: "We'll email people to confirm their reservations closer to the event; anyone who says they can't make it will be removed. And we'll add people from the waitlist at that point."
@m1k3 it'll probably take you about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
So what's the DL for the main show? What time do folks think is appropriate to get in line for when general admission opens @8:45pm? 8pm? 7pm? don't go to work and get in line by 5am on Thursday?
@m1k3: the waitlist is for the 8pm entry. At 8:45, it's a free for all. Please don't take another members spot for the 8pm entry if you can't be there at 8.
Is this confirmed? Trying to plan my evening (and following morning) for that Thursday, and I am trying to figure out if my girlfriend (also a sub) and I will be able to get in; we were both waitlisted.
Thanks Duders! Can't wait!
@packs217: going by Rorie's posts on Twitter, that's how it works. The member RSVP is for 8:00pm entry. At 8:45, they let in everyone. There is probably going to be a substantial line to enter at 8:45 so you may want to plan on arriving a bit earlier. There is a Facebook event for the 8:45 thing but it's just to remind people, they're not using it as admission or anything.
@m1k3: if you get a ride down there it should take about 30 min. If you take the light link rail system all the way from SeaTac to Westlake should take less than an hour.
Hey guys! Do you think it is possible and/or sane for me to try to manage a 4+ hour trip down from Vancouver? Customs sounds extra fun on a bus trip, although I suppose they know what they are doing... Never been to a PAX-scale event before but it sounds like a pretty insane time unless you know people or have way too much money! I would have to scrounge up somewhere to crash for 2 nights and then survive the trip all the way back on Friday. Oh, maybe leave some time in there somewhere for a little drinking and/or gaming? ;) And of course, lest I forget, I didn't make it in time to get on the early list, so I'd probably be waiting in more fucking lines all night too. Ughhh..
Decided to just pull the trigger for flights and a hotel downtown. Fuck it, you only live once right? And I will probably never get this opportunity again! See you guys there! :)
YOLO my friend, yo the lo. We shall wait in lines and be merry.
Rock Band 4 is also coming to the Giant Bomb party! I'll prob be a free agent but I want to get on stage with a band if anyone is interested! Also if anyone is in the Seattle area and still needs PAX tickets send me a pm and I'll try to arrange some help for fellow GB Duders!
@braintuba: I have not.. I was just as curious about this...
@scarygaryofak:I got one this morning. Must have recently gone out.
@dudeglove Yeah, It's here on their youtube channel:
Which also has the guest spot thing they did on Youtube's stage today. Youtube looks like the place to go to access archived live streams before they get put up on the site in future.
