Hey, PAX Prime is around the corner and once again we’re going to be hosting a bit of a fancy to-do at a venue near the convention center in Seattle. Break out your top hats and finest champagne on Thursday evening, August 27th, and join us for a rollicking evening at Giant Bomb: Live, In Person, & Fully Clothed. Yes, that is technically the day before PAX actually begins, so plan accordingly!

This year, though, we’re going all-out: rather than settle for a small venue that can only fit a hundred people in it, we’ve reserved a much larger space at The Parlor in downtown Seattle, mere minutes from the Washington State Convention Center that PAX is held in. We’re still nailing down exactly what’s going to be transpiring, but you can expect the usual mix of Giant Bomb weirdness. Special guests? Seems pretty likely. Want to get stuff signed? Bring it along! Will we be debuting new merch that you’ll be the first to see? You bet! Spontaneity is the name of the game! (The game is also called “anything can happen.”)
If you’re a premium member, you’re going to want to be keeping an eye out, as we’re going to be opening up an RSVP list in a couple of weeks for a pre-show event that will be free and exclusively available to existing premium members. You’ll get in the door around 8 o’clock and get some time to have a drink, meet the staff, have a drink, get a seat up front for the show, have a drink, and maybe have a chance at a merch giveaway or two. We’ll have more details about that in late July. We’ll announce when the RSVPs for that event will open up ahead of time, so keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages for more details.
If you don’t get on that list, don’t worry! We’ll start letting everyone else into the venue around 8:45. The show will go on around 9 PM, with the possibility of a bit of that Giant Bomb fashionable lateness, so you should have plenty of time to have a drink, find a comfortable chair, check out the newest merchandise, have a drink, have a drink, and have a drink before the show goes on.
Note that this is a 21+ venue, and also note that you don’t need a PAX badge to get in. This is a separate venue from PAX, so if you live in the Seattle-Tacoma area but weren’t planning on attending PAX, feel free to show up anyway! We’ll love you just the same.
Some of these details may change, but if they do we'll be sure to update this post. Hope you can join us!
