Payday 2

There's an idea, right? It's the idea of bank robbery. It's attached to Payday 2, and anyone who hasn't played it believes it's simply a bank robbery game. In some ways, the idea is correct.. but in other ways.. well.. it has a way of surprising you. When you're in the back of a freezing meat truck with 6 bags of cocaine in front of you, speeding down a road as you and your friends frantically try and grab as many bags as possible before coming to a stop at the police block you aren't thinking "Gee, I sure enjoyed robbing the bank today." You're thinking "Yeah, we need to get these bags of coke out of the country and me and my friends are pretty much going to do everything in our power to make that happen." And that's the beauty of Payday 2. Your expectations of a lack-luster FPS bank robbery title are crushed the minute you try any other mission than the bank robbery one. Payday 2 has two separate modes of play. Offline and online. Offline you can choose to play with or without bots, and you can play any mission in offline that you can on online. Graphics wise, the game is nothing special, but unless you stick around long enough to focus on one brick wall then you're not really going to notice. The action is tense and fast paced, the co-op is truly brilliant and the game itself is a great edition to what I am sure will soon become a vast collection of heist simulators. Here's my advice. If you have friends that have this game, get this game and play it with them. If you don't have friends to play this game with, buy it anyway and make new friends on the massive selection of online games you can access through CRIME.NET.
