The PC (Personal Computer) is a highly configurable and upgradable gaming platform that, among home systems, sports the widest variety of control methods, largest library of games, and cutting edge graphics and sound capabilities.
Hi im looking to get some games for pc games when I get my new computer and I am planning what to get ahead of time and I would like some ideas of some games to get that are either horror games or are close to being horror games.
As far as shooters are concerned, I would go with Killing Floor and STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl. However I will say both those games aren't for everyone.
dead space is a great game I used to have it I also actually any system it doesn't matter game don't have to be for pc any horror game at all would be helpful.
Fear 1 and 2 are good (the first one was more scary IMO) If you can handle really old games then you should try System Shock 2. My favourite horror games are Condemned 1 and 2.
Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadows of Chernobyl (note: the prequel Clear Sky is not nearly as atmospheric), Clocktower, System Shock 2 and The Penumbra series.
if i recall, there were a good amount of Silent Hill games that were released on PC. that latest one, Silent Hill Homecoming, was ported to PC as well. i've yet to try out a single SH game though, but those might be good options for you.
@mthe1337one: Yes they do have silent hill games and ive played them a bit and they are quite fun but acquiring them for the pc is hard because i looked around online for the older ones ( all but homecoming because i received that for xbox ) but when i found new copies they were about $100 for them which is outrageous and i dont know of anywhere to get them through digital download such as steam so im out of luck there
Played it a few days ago, but after my first death I had to stop due to me freaking out. Took me about ten minutes after I had turned the lights on to get back to normal.
