Hey duders, I just purchased my FIRST dedicated gaming computer. I come to you guys and gals in search of some must play pc games that I just couldnt experience before. Just for some reference, my machine can handle The Witcher 2 on high settings just fine.

PC games I need to play.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent.
Jumping into the deep end. Of MADNESS!
@EndlessObsidian:
Skyrim is out this Friday and is going to be a contender for PC game-of-the-year. With your rig, you should be able to run it at super-max and install the extra-high-res texture mod that'll inevitably come out from the mod community.
You might check out Team Fortress 2 since it's free now and has remained my favorite PC game for years.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is the best single-player game I've experienced in recent memory but might not appeal to someone who's just getting into PC gaming.
Don't forget that Steam has massive sales during the holidays. It's possible to pick up multiple $60 games for less than $5 during these sales, so my advice would be just to pick up whatever appeals to you at the moment whenever the sales start.
- The Witcher (I see you're already playing 2, but 1 is still very much worth it, and I personally like it better).
- STALKER games (mainly SoC and CoP, with Complete mods for extra beautification).
- Dragon Age.
- Metro 2033.
- Penumbra Black Plague (from the same guys that made Amnesia, which was mentioned above so I won't mention it again).
- Risen.
- ArmA II (if you're into that).
- Magicka.
- Company of Heroes games.
- Dawn of War games.

Listen to this man.- The Witcher (I see you're already playing 2, but 1 is still very much worth it, and I personally like it better).

@EndlessObsidian: Could you tell us A- What PC games you have played (Half-Life 2?) and B- What genres/games you dislike/aren't interested in
@AhmadMetallic: Sure thing.
A. Half Life 1 and 2(and the episodes), Portal 1 and 2, Star Craft 2 on my shitty Dell laptop, ES4:Oblivion, Dragon Age 1 and 2, and some of the Witcher 2. That about covers all the pc games I have played.
B. I honestly like pretty much everything. Big Budget triple A titles all the way to Indie games. First person shooters, RPGs, etc. I'm actually thinking about getting Battlefield 3. But as this is my first time playing a fps with mouse and keyboard I'm kinda intimidated. Also, as I am typing this I just realized that I will be able to play Diablo 3 when it comes out. It's like a whole new world has opened up for me.
Homeworld

Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne
Starcraft 2
Dawn of War 2 series
