If I'm going to play GTAIV, Burnout Paradise, (and isn't there a PC Street Fighter 4 on the way) I really want to play them with a control pad.

What are some of your favorites? I've heard Logitech makes great racing wheels, too, but what make/models?

Xbox 360 controller is definitely the best choice IMO.

360 controller is bad for SF4 though.  For PC usage right now I have an oldish Saitek P880 which I think is great and a Thrustmaster dual analog stick as well.

I use the 360 controller, too. Particularly good for space games if you don't want to go and buy a joystick. There is also a utility that allows you to use it with unsupported games. :)

I remember years back hearing of an adapter to use the Dualshock 2 on PC. That would be great -- to play with the controller I've used most and I guess would be better at.

I have nothing but good things to say about the 360 controller. It wouldn't work well with SF, but they might bundle it into the PC version.

SEGA SATURN USB PAD FOR PC/MAC.
They're out of stock everywhere for a reason, you can get them on ebay though, just make sure they're original.

If you have an original Xbox controller laying around, then you could just rewire that with a usb cable and there you have a cheap PC controller.

    • Xbox 360 Controller is great, you can even get a dongle for your PC to use it wirelesly , however for Street Fighter 4 its not ideal.
    • PS3 controller is also an option, this one has a better D-Pad than the 360 and is great for Fighting Games, however the drivers for this online only work with Windows XP / Vista 32bit ( not 64 Bit compatible )
    • PS2 Gamepad with a converter/adapter that allows you to connect it to your PC, this one is probably the most inexpensive option... specially if you already have an old PS2 gamepad.

Can't go wrong with the 360 controller. I also have a Logitec Extreme 3D Pro stick that I've had forever (since the Mechwarrior days) that I absolutely love, but it doesn't get much use nowadays.

I like gaming accessories that, like Rhianna, can take a beating and still come back for more. Go with Logitech if you want something that will withstand a great deal of damage and keep going.

The 360 controller is good overall, especially Burnout Paradise. I can't see using anything else for that game, honestly.

I have a wired 360 controller and another microsoft sidewinder or something.
The 360 one works perfectly for NBA2k9, Fifa 09, Fallout3,etc...    BUt i use keyboard and mouse for all my other games (FPS, RTS,etc..)
