Awww Yeah, glad to see this game selling well if you don't own a vita you should own this fucking great game. It's been on sale a tons of times but it's $20 on psn right now.

Oh man, thank god for that. It's the best version of one of the best games ever made - I'm happy it's doing well (especially for a Vita game).

I'm not sure how many out there are like me but I own a copy of P4 and two copies of P4G. I first bought a boxed copy of P4G at release as I lacked funds to buy it off the PSN store, even though I knew that was clearly the way to go; with the digital version, it would stay on my Vita forever and I would have access to it whenever I wanted. So when it went on sale a while back for 20 bucks, I double-dipped and got the digital version as well.

To say I love this game would be an understatement. I'm doing my best to keep P5 out of my mind right now so the wait will be less excruciating.

It sold better than the ps2 version (about 400k). A remake outsold the original release! That is a first. Also Dragon's Crown sold 800k!

Does anyone know how much Persona 4 eventually sold? If it was over 300,000 then that means that at least a million people have played Persona 4 and that is a really great thought.

If I had a Vita, those would be the first two games I'd get.

Releasing that game on the Vita was one of the smartest things Atlus has ever done. To this day it still seems to be one of the only interesting games on that thing.

Namco is doing this already with their tales series. They were very pleased with how much Xillia sold in the West and they promised to bring every main tales over to the west.

Definitely helps that the game was on sale.

Well, I may be a bit selfish but I can already play everything release in japan because I live here. I am more talking about ps2 era of rpg output from everyone but I see your point. On a side note, Xillia 2 is pretty good too.

Never played a Persona game, and i have come close to pulling the trigger on P4 Golden a few times. I'm just afraid i will end up hating it. But those are some damn fine sales numbers for sure.

Bought a Vita simply to play P4G. And that was my first buy of hardware made by Sony. Ever. After 33 years. Damn nice game.

I did the exact opposite of you. I bought the physical release (even before I bought a Vita) so that it would be in my Vita forever. Every other purchase I make is going to be a digital release, so I never have to deal with physical media on a Vita again.

@mosespippy: That's definitely the way to go in my opinion as well, digital; despite the fact their system is arcane, that's how I've gone about things with my 3DS as of late (buying mostly digital). However, in my current circumstance, obtaining digital releases off of PSN is a more difficult proposition than buying the physical boxed copy; it's made a little easier with Sony's partnership with Amazon and being able to purchase digital codes for games there, but the selection is limited compared to the actual PSN store.

@wchigo: For a very long time buying digital goods on PSN was near impossible for me since they didn't have PSN cards and I didn't have a credit card. I used to have to pay a friend in advance and have them buy something on their account signed in on my system. PSN cards made it easier but now I live in the middle of nowhere. It'll cost me $35 in gas to get to the closest retailer with PSN cards. With the recent addition of PayPal last month(via the Sony website, not integrated into the consoles yet) I should even be able to add Yen or USD to my Japanese and US accounts, meaning I'll finally be able to buy games without leaving the house.

Buying digital on 3DS seems foolish. If the system gets broken, lost or stolen then all your purchases are gone too.

I really don't think that's the case. If you have your 3DS synced with Club Nintendo, it keeps track of all your digital purchases. I feel like if you told them it was stolen or something, you could work something out. But that's off-topic.

More importantly, I'm proud to be a part of that 700,000. The only reason I bought a Vita last Christmas was to play P4G. That and the X button on my PSP crapped out on me.

True but it's not like the PS1/2 eras where JRPG's were considerably more mainstream. ATM the only people I know playing tales games are enthusiasts while a great many more people played P3 or P4.

I said it before and I say it again: P4G on the Vita is the ultimate gaming experience. I spend countless hours sitting on the toilet maxing out my S-Links and grinding through dungeons, having that game on the go was the greatest thing ever.

It and Dragon's Crown are the only 2 games I bought for the Vita, and really the only reason I got one besides getting it for the remote play functionality of the PS4 when I get one.

Super awesome. I'm near the end of the game and have no desire for it end anytime soon (I actually "passed" it and got what I think is the bad ending and it left be super bummed out, so I went back to my save and did a certain section correctly and now the game is progressing towards the true ending). It'll more than likely be the first game that I actually new game +.

Such a brilliant and charming game. It's my 2013 "2012" GOTY, or I guess 08'.

Add one more copy to that total!
