As the title says, I'm borrowing a friend's PS2 for about 2 months, and I'm thinking about games that I should play. Persona 4 is an obvious choice for me, being a massive fan of TBRPGs, and the ER being the thing that got me onto Giantbomb in a big way. Final Fantasy XII as well, because damn I love that game. Thing is, after that, I'm blank. I'm mainly looking for single-player games, and actually no FPS', if you can. A lot of games on the PS2 I've already played, but a lot of those games I've forgotten.
The only thing I have an inkling about possibly playing is the Dark Cloud series. Any other suggestions any of you guys could make?
PlayStation 2

Sony's PlayStation 2 is the second home video game console produced by Sony Computer Entertainment Incorporated, and to date is the best-selling home console of all time, with an install base of 150 million units since its launch.
Borrowing a PS2 for about 2 months, what 6 games should I play?
Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner. Skip the first.
Dark Cloud 2 is the good Dark Cloud game. Dark Cloud one is something that no one liked if I remember correctly.
Most of the games I can think of have been rereleased on PS3 like Beyond Good & Evil, Shadow of the Colossus, Medal of Honor Frontline, and Persona 3. Other than that maybe try a Tony Hawk or Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 just to have some arcade style pick up and play fun to break up all the RPG grinding you'll be doing in P4 and FFXII.
TBRPG
We need to keep the acronyms before "RPG" down to a minimum. I say that all we really need are WRPG's, JRPG's, and MMORPG's; everything else can be spelled out since it's not used that much. C, TB, whatever else you can think of, never use it again. Type that shit out, I haven't a bloody clue what you're talking about.
...oh. Right. You should play Ratchet and Clank Going Commando, Jak and Daxter, and Kingdom Hearts. I've played those three. For RPG's particularly, though, Final Fantasy XII seems pretty good if you want JRPG's, though it's a divisive game so you might not like it much.
EDIT: Oh, I didn't remember you mentioning FFXII. Silly me. There's a Dragon Quest game for the PS2, I hear tell those are all right.
PLAY THE WARRIORS! Seriously. One of the BEST games on the PS2.

Shadow of the Colossus is a safe bet too.
@dbz1995: Though it's a little rougher around the edges, if you can actually find a copy of Ico, pick that up, too. These two games are amazing.
Final Fantasy XII love? Yay! It's so rare to see.
Persona 3 is also good, but you may get burned out on the all that persona. Suikoden III and V are games I mean to play one day.
They have already been brought out on other systems (like PS3) but I would say if you didn't play already.
Resident Evil 4, God of War 1 & 2, Shadow of the Colossus, Ratchet and Clank 1 and oh say for some laughs the Simpsons Road Rage.
Im sure others can get a better 6 then mine, these are kind of the more obvious games but hey its a top 6 for PS2.
Thanks for the replies guys!
@Jams: I know nothing about both of those-I'll check up about them, though, and see if I can get them.
@ssj4raditz: Rogue galaxy actually looks awesome-I'll see if I can get it, definitely.
@Daneian: Rather than buy ZotE, SOTC and MGS, I think I'm just going to get both collections for the PS3.
@mosespippy: Yeah, any re-releases I'll probably pick up on the PS3.
@mscupcakes: I still have MGS3-one of my favourite games ever-so I'm probably going to play that forever. I always preferred San Andreas to Vice City, but I might just pick them both up anyway.
@NoobSauceG7: How good actually is Kingdom Hearts? I've heard decent things, but I've barely even looked at the games before.
@clstirens: Probably not six games exactly, but just enough to get through in about 2 and a half months.
@pyromagnestir: FFXII IS THE BEST FF NOBODY ELSE KNOWS
@dbz1995: Testify!
(side note, it's a lot harder to find a video of someone just yelling testify than I thought it would be. I gave up.)

@dbz1995: @pyromagnestir: FF XII International Job Zodiac System is secretly the best FF.
You're never going to finish all these RPG's, but I'll throw one in that I've enjoyed and you might've overlooked, Shadow Hearts: Covenant.
@dbz1995: I really like Kingdom Hearts. If you like JRPG story lines then I recommend it. The gameplay itself isn't that complex but the story is pretty good. The second one imo is much better than the first one but you should play the first one to understand the story more.
AMF Xtreme Bowling 2006. It's the 2006-est bowling game you'll EVER play. Yes, even 2006-er than Wii Bowling. And it's certainly one of the best bowling games that was developed by Mud Duck Productions (who brought you Family Card Games and Equestrian Showcase on the PS1) and was released on the PS2 in June of 2006. It may even be in the top 100 bowling games of ALL of the first half of 2006!
In fact, I would go as far as to say it's the single best AMF game since the previous one, not including any subsequent ones! I hear that it sold multiple copies! One person was quoted as saying "It could have been worse." That means it's better than things! IGN.com called it "A ... game", and praised it for "... working properly". You may have heard of 9 pin bowling, but with the power of the PS2, AMF Xtreme Bowling 2006 brings you TEN PIN BOWLING. All ten pins on the screen at the SAME TIME. Move over, Dead Rising!
Best of all, it's published by Bethesda! That's right, you can proudly display your copy of AMF Xtreme Bowling 2006 beside other Bethesda hits such as The Elder Scrolls series and Fallout 3/New Vegas! Not to mention IHRA Drag Racing and everybody's favorite, Brink!
Get your copy today! "AMF Xtreme Bowling 2006: Sometimes it works as a bowling game."
I'll recommend Kingdom Hearts also, it's a great game.
Suikoden III was good if you are looking for jrpgs
Katamari Damacy a great indie style game, before indie games were popular/existed.
Mark of the Kri was pretty good. I think it's kind of overlooked. Jeff gave it a 7.5 back in his Gamespot days. There was a sequel, too; Rise of Kasai.
@PenguinDust: @AmatureIdiot: See, this is where people get into games I've never heard of. I'll look at them-ratings don't normally mean much.
@Jeust: Sadly gonna have to skip Silent Hill 2-I am a titanic coward when it comes to horror, almost passed out at watching the F.E.A.R 2 trailer. The trailer. That's how bad I am.
Thanks for all the input guys, I might just buy the PS2 back off him. My last PS2 was 'bought' by a family from which I received no money, which has been one of my bigger gaming-related regrets.

F*CK*N' YES, SIR!! Goddamnit, I love that game.
Alright, my 6 games would be Persona 3: FES, Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly, Beyond Good and Evil, Bully, The Warriors.
Man, so many good games. I bought my PS2 while people were standing outside Best Buy waiting to buy their PS3s and Bully was my first game. . . Now that I have both, maybe the PS2 was the better investment???
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. I've played and enjoyed it more than any other game in 2012. When Jeff says it's one of the greatest games ever made, he's not lying.
