Im a poor college student so I dont think I'll be able to get all 3 right now. So why should I get the Ps3 over 360, Is motorstorm awesome?

In before fanboyism causes thread to be locked. Let me be honest with you I have a ps3 and a wii. OK I think that if you have a hi-def tv and enjoy bluray movies (or could see yourself buying them) get a ps3. Also look into which console has exclusives that you absolutely must have and take that into consideration but I believe that both consoles are somewhat balanced and you will have a blast with either of them! And last and perhaps most importantly if you have lots of friends with consoles see which console the majority of the ones you would liek to play with own (its important to think of only the ones that actually play and you like), however take into account that the 360 will take 50 dollars off you per year.

If you need some advantages in list form here they are (choose which matter to you)

PS3

• Better graphics
• Bluray drive
• Big Hard drive
• Incredibly quirky/original PSN games
• FF, MGS4, JRPGs

• Better online
• A unified voice chat and comfortable message system that allows for more socializing
• Western shooters
• Halo

• Collects dust.
• Nice novelty item.
• Good way to spend your money in one place.

• Questionable in terms of usage.
• Does not have headlights or a radio.
• Looks like a toaster, but does not function like one.

• It's actually useful.

• Prone to being awesome.

and it all depends what you want from the system, research both systems

PS3 has good games, free online and a good blu ray player. also LBP is only on PS3.

ps3 is better than 360 in terms of bang for your buck,  everything you get in the ps3 for $400 costs you more to add on when you buy a 360.  in terms of games i think they are getting very close to even for every halo 3 theres mgs4,  for every gears there is Resistance,  etc.  and multiplats are the same no matter where you get them.  360 also uses a last gen disc tray and format,  ps3 has a slot loading blu ray players.  the choice is simple get a ps3 not an xbox3fixme360times.

Actually, I'd say PC. But that may be beyond your financial capabilities(by your own admission).

Its confirmed int he sense that Nomura says it will be the thing that he WILL do after FF Versus XIII its just that first that has to be released and then they are gonna start working on it, but I it has been mentioned that that game will eb the end of the sora-riku-kairi arc and the conclusion fo the series (not counting prequels/spinoffs). So it will be done after Versus and that's that.  The portable prequels are jsut so that people don't forget that KH is there."

It really depends on what features you want. If you prefer a more media-like console, you might want a PS3. The Xbox 360 has the better online service, but the PS3 is gaining on it, and is certainly above a half-ass online service. If you are looking forward to more 360 games over PS3 games (exclusive), go with the 360. Or vice-versa.

i found motorstorm pretty good when i rented it and there are still people playing online with it too.  motorstorm 2 pacific rift is coming out next month also. if i were you i would get a ps3. if your poor and you want to play online it will be a little hard cause you have to pay and you wont have that much time to play cause of class's and homework. with ps3 you wont have to worry about not playing online cause your paying for it. but really both are good consoles. there are plenty of games on both and both have games coming out in the future.

As some other guy said, get the console your friends own. If you don't care about that, get a 360 seeing as it's cheaper and a bigger selection of games.

The free online play and blu-ray player puts the PS3 out on top. Other than that, there's not really a huge difference between the two other than some exclusive games.

Just as I predicted! Obsessive fanboys! I prefer the PS3 because you don't pay the online. If you do the math you end up paying less for the PS3 than forthe 360 with all it's features (both online and offline). So even though it costs 400$ it's a worth the price."

lol, I still love how the "ideal point" for getting a 360 is halo. Silly goofs, Halo is played out. I've played a ton of shooters than better Halo in so many ways.
Why not mention other great games? Fable looks mighty drool worthy, gears is always fun, mass effect is mega kewl etc. Why always resort to Halo?

I feel there are many reasons to get a PS3 - from great games to ultra media hub functionality and such and think it's kinda funny that a $100 price difference has people running mad on the system for being expensive.

Most games are similar to that of 360, plus you get a bunch of top quality exclusives. Also PS3 has a bunch of other things you get with it like free online and Blu-ray player and so on. More of a multimedia package.

I would say it depends on where you live as well

if your in America... probably the 360 since more people play 360 there than ps3.. so you have more people to play with online
if you live in Europe.. the ps3 is a better choice since the games are region free... so you can buy em online for less than in the shops and usually you get em sooner as well
( some games never get published in europe at all )

Okay , let me first say that I have a 360 and dont have a PS3 (Ialso have a DS but that doesnt even matter). I love my 360 because I love gaming and Im not a fanboy. Recently I had a birthday coming up and I though about asking for a PS3 from my girlfriend. Then I went to see what games interrested me on PS3, and Im talking their exclusive games because I already have a lot of 360 software. So when I checked that it made me think that I dont want a 400 $ gift that will end up playing about 4 to 8 games...

Im not against PS3, far from it but there are so many multiplatfrm titles that if you have to choose, look at the exclusive games on each side and the one or two different features and you should know what you want.

there might be a little graphic difference down the road between the two but if you have just one you wont notice(care) ... PS2 owners never complained that they didnt have an xbox if memory serves correctly..

xbox 360: halo3, halo3:recon, halo wars, Gears of War, Gears of War2, Forza2, Fable2, Ninja Gaiden, Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, Banjo&kazooie, PGR4, Too Human (I dont know if its good), XBLA games...
            360 features: what could be considered the best online service (do you have high speed internet?)

PS3: Uncharted, FFV13, GT5prologue, MGS4, LittleBigPlanet, Resistance 1 & 2, Killzone, Wipeout, Heavenly Sword , PSN games
       PS3 features: free online play, plays blu-ray movies.

Remember, if you only have one system, just look at the exclusive games that you know you would like and you wont regret your choice, nowadays 3rd party publishers have to go multiplatform because they need the money, exclusives wont seem that big of a deal in the long run...

and why not try both controllers at the store? I like the 360's controller better and now to  a point that I dont like the Dualshock 3 (ps3) but if the PS3's feels at home in your hands, maybe thats a better choice for you...

Honestly, I have both systems sitting in front of me right now and this is how my experience has been.  As far as games played, my 360 is on more than my ps3.  It just has more software im interested in at the moment and i think achievement points are a hoot.  But fuck that thing is loud.  And i'm pretty sure its on its way out (knock on wood) which sucks because its my 2nd 360 [yea, they tend to break].  BUT i do love that thing.
