For me, its definitely rockband 3. I was so pumped for that game, dropped all the money on the keyboard and game, probably played an hour of it total. I really hated it.
What about you guys?
PlayStation 3

The PlayStation 3 (often abbreviated PS3) is the third home video game console created and released by Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.
What game were you really excited for, then barely played?
The Ghostbusters game. I don't think I played it for more than 30 minutes. I just lost interest for some reason. Need to go back to it some day, I suppose.
God of War 3. Played it for a few hours the day I got it, then never picked it back up again. I quickly realized in the amount of time I played how bored I was with the combat, and the story wasn't helping either.
Dragon Age: Origins
I'll get around to playing it eventually, but there's a lot of other games I'm interested in right now.
Dead Rising 2 and Fallout: New Vegas. I just lost all interest in them within the first few hours of playing them. Don't know why.
" First Assassins Creed. "This is the first one I could think of. I really want to finish it so that I can play the second, but it's just so tedious to play through.
Fallout New Vegas.
I had it preordered and everything. Have put only a scant 22 hours into (which is small, considering the game), never even completing it. It was not for disliking it, or it's bugginess, which never effected me anyway. I guess I just wasn't ready for that Fallout experience again.
Edit: I'm seeing a lot of FFXIII in here. Oddly enough, I went into that game rather skeptical, having lost my love for Square a while ago, and I came out kind of enjoying it.
I feel bad for both of these.
Killzone 3!
Not a bad game but it was also fairly disappointing at the same time. In comparison to Killzone 2 it was sorely lacking in various aspects - the story and characters were even more cliche and boring, the difficulty level was dumbed down far too much and the multiplayer just doesn't appeal to me as much even though its more of the same (I had close to 200hrs logged into Killzone 2's multiplayer and i only have 10 logged into Killzone 3) NOT to mention the platinum difficulty was just as low.....i platinumed Killzone 3 in a few days and i've yet to obtain Killzone 2's. lmao!
Metroid other m for me, so pumped before release, sank a few hours into it and haven't played it again.
Metal Gear Solid 4. I loved the hell out of the game up until the mission where I had to follow the civilian around the city. Given my eyesight limitations and my frustrations with that level alone, I don't think I've played the game more than a few hours.
Splinter cell conviction. Just turned it off the night I bought it. Was planing to play the next day. Its now been 3 weeks.
MvC3, realized too late that i had no time to get any good at it, now it sits unplayed (didn't even bother with arcade mode). Also Dead Space 2, but I eventually got back into it and felt it was worth the wait. Those two are the most recent, there a re a myriad other games to add to this list.
This is actually my answer too. The city in that game is so goddam boring there is NOTHING to do. Everything is so static and just lifeless. When I'm tired of doing the same mission over and over again I kind of want to do something else OTHER than another mission that I was trying to get away from." Infamous. I was so psyched for the game, but when I finally got it, it bored me to death. "
" Dead Space 2- I'll get to it- I promise. "Haha I remember you told me you were going to get to that game, then you started and completed FFXIII. Now I notice you playing Portal 2 :P
" Beyond Good and Evil HD. I was really looking forward to replaying it, but for whatever reason I just stopped after the first boss. "That's too bad. I loved that game until recently. I downloaded it, got all the way to the moon and encountered a bug that made one of my AI partners disappear so I can't proceed any further. I was furious and haven't gone back to restart the game.
Marvel Vs Capcom 3: I played it heavily for maybe a week and then just got really bored with it.
Fallout New Vegas: I just can't bring myself to finish this game for some reason.
" @Elazul said:Damn man, that's royally screwed up. I know this is kind of ironic coming from me but if this is your first time playing it, you should definitely try to go back and finish at some point. It really is a hell of a game." Beyond Good and Evil HD. "
Though I'll admit I played a shitload of LittleBigPlanet during the beta, I didn't play nearly as much as I thought I would after the beta ended and I bought the game. Everything about that game was brilliant except for the actual gameplay. The mediocre gameplay caused my interest to dissipate much quicker than I expected.
After hearing the same controls and physics were back in LBP2, I didn't even bother with it.
Well yes there is, if you bothered reading some of the topic creators posts ont he first page." no reason why this should be in the ps3 foruma s opposed to general...anywayMVC3 easily. dont remember the last time i was so hyped, than i was incredibly disapointed and only played it for a week "
GT5. I drooled over videos, read an infernal amount of previews, bought a PS3 and a G25 months (I think it actually was over a year though) in advance. Game got released, played around a few hours, completed the first driver's license set, never booted it since except for updates (yeah, I update the game then shut it down.. how weird isn't that?). I don't really know why... there's really nothing wrong with that game per se.
LBP2.
I have played Mass Effect 2 for two hours over the month and a bit I've owned it. It seems fun but I've got other games that I want to play right now. Also Vanquish and Darksiders, both are pretty good (Vanquish more so) but I've never been able to sit down for more than 45 minutes at time with either of them so they have both fallen by the wayside. I was really hyped for all these games and have had fun with them but still haven't had enough time to play them.
