    Valve has some of the best press releases ever. I love that they know and mention their inability to actually hit a release date.

    Why do Valve ever bother putting out a release date in the first place? They don't have shareholders or investors to inform or placate as far as I am aware. 
      Just finish the thing, spend a month advertising and release the thing. Job done.

    I suspect it will be well worth the wait.  My anticipation is great however.  I just recently replayed the original to try out the ARG materials and see the new ending (also, because it was fun).  If you are impatient for Portal 2 and haven't completed all the advanced challenges in the original, do so.  They are a lot of fun and a few are real mind benders.  (Unfortunately, a few are also tedious - but overall it's worth it.)

    Game releases in 2011 don't really exist in my timeframe yet - it's not like there is a shortage of good stuff to be playing at the moment.

    It could be worse and at least there is still time to polish and fix things if need be. Good things come from those who wait...but then again waiting makes people forget :3 so good luck Valve and I cant wait to see this game when it finally does come out.
