Ugh, that was gut punch. With Alex on feeling screwed over there.
And I will say I think the game is weird in the "right" choices for the fireteam leader that killed Tali. Miranda is hated by pretty much everyone on the ship as a pawn of Cerberus, even if she's technically the second-in-command, and Garrus lost his entire team during his last time at leadership. Everyone else outside of Shepard feels like much more of a misfit loner. Samara was a reasonable choice given the prompt, but she's also spent centuries acting on her own and not really working with others.
When it comes to Garrus ... His Team was wildly successfull on Omega, he only lost his team because he was betrayed which doesn't imho reflect on his ability as a leader. When I played the game the first time he was the obvious choice for me.
I am so torn. I would understand Alex to go the "what happend happend" route. But I love Talis part in ME3, I actually had tears in my eyes the first time I saw that. I think in the end I side on "Save Tali".
I'm still weirdly mad they never used the special Grunt shotgun that they spent research points making.
yeah, same with Legions Sniper Rifle ... doesn't really matter though, on normal difficulty the game is a breeze. I mean, they switched out the flashbang for an ammo power they are most likely never gonna use since I have never seen them really reading the abilitys. On harder difficultys you really have to pay attention to who you bring on missions too. Have to face Blue Suns? Get people that are good against shields. Eclipse? Get biotics etc. Doesn't matter though, they are doing fine.
Regarding the style of Shadow Broker: this is much closer to how ME3 is written, except for the comedic elements. Cutscenes and dialog are far more cinematic and natural (and well-written!) and the camerawork is far more dynamic. It's not just people staring at each other telling each other about their childhoods. This is why ME3 is the best Mass Effect.
yeah, after playing through mass effect 2 and 3 recently I have to say that I like mass effect 3 the best. Especially the Citadel DLC and the strong start of mass effect 3
ME3 is a brilliant game up until the last 15 minutes. If they had ended it at one specific scene it would have been a master piece.
I wonder if they will go through all the systems at some point. There is a buttload of side-missions they never got and that won't show up until you scan planets.
