This is happening for me right now in the Pro Skater Advanced pre-show.

I saw it during the Bombcast pre-show too, but not during the show itself.

I'll refresh at a few points to see if there's a point at which it goes away.

Really like the new features, especially the Current Game and News overlays. I'd definitely prefer 60 fps though, gotta have that crisp 'cast look.

Prices are way too variable, and have way too many variables, for that to be feasible, accurate, or particularly useful.

Ok, so, some games will conceivably never be eligible for GotY, like Overwatch. Other games will only be eligible for GotY many years down the line, like Destiny. The only games that might end up being eligible for GotY the year they came out would end up being stuff like Uncharted.

The very concept of a "finished" game is largely going away, with a few notable exceptions. There is no meaningful difference between an Early Access game getting monthly updates prior to "release" and a "finished" game getting monthly updates post "release".

A good game is a good game is a good game.

They could have called Hitman "Early Access" rather than "Episodic", it would still have been GotY worthy. Mario Maker could have been released in Early Access, one tileset at a time, it would still have been GotY worthy. Skyrim was released in a worse state than a lot of Early Access games, but it was still GotY worthy.

Games are not books, nor movies, nor songs, nor meals, nor rollercoasters.

Games are cars. You don't need to "finish" a car to review it, you don't need to drive it until it grinds itself into a fine dust. You just need to drive it enough.

Exactly what "enough" is will vary by reviewer, and by car. Some cars you don't even need to drive 5 miles. Other cars might need a cross country trip. Other cars you might just want to never stop driving.

Games are cars. You don't need to finish them to enjoy them or hate them.

You'd have gotten the better end of that deal.

Slotted in Journey of the Sorcerer because I'm a Hoopy Frood, which led me on a deep Eagles dive, across into some Boston and finished with a sprinkling of Bowie.
