Thursdays (and sometimes Fridays) have been for drumming!
Alex, thank you for the drummin' throughout Lockdown and the charity streams! It has been a weekly joy to be among the hundreds (thousands?!) of viewers on these streams. Long-forgotten jams, whammies, and bangers -- all played live for a global audience by a talented drummer.
If we can all take away something from We Be Drummin', it's that music binds us together as humans. Shared enjoyment or communal displeasure -- it's not important how we individually feel about a particular song. What is important is that a song, when experienced with others, will evoke powerful emotions, and chat will explode with excitement or disdain (sometimes both).
But most importantly we have all learned that Jim Morrison's dad was involved in the Gulf of Tonkin Incident.
Seeing someone reference *item hidden in spoiler* made me unreasonably happy 🤣🤣 . It is so hard to say goodbye to Alex and the guys and especially this series...easily my favorite from the Lockdown "era". Keep on drummin' and thank you for everything!
I appreciate Brad's feeling on the movie overall, but could not disagree more that they should have stopped at 6 movies. I think this trilogy adds a lot that's new and interesting to the Star Wars mythos while calling back to enough of the past stuff to make the emotional connection for me.
I honestly think TLJ is my 3rd favorite Star Wars behind TFA (#1) and Return of the Jedi (#2). Probably one of the best Science Fantasy movies I've ever seen. Rian Johnson absolutely killed it.
One of the best segments so far of the ER. Freakin hilarious every few minutes. Particularly loved the shopping moments: Finding the Poo Magazine, that convenience store, Alex singing "Tom's Diner" while at the Tom's Hot dogs cart, getting stuck in between the NPCs, and the dudes reactions to the voice performances in general every time get me. Loving this run.
