As someone who's listened to and followed the bomb crew since their days at Gamespot, this is truly a great loss. He was a voice in the dark landscape that was the video game industry. But more than that, Ryan was a voice that was there for me in a town where I felt like I was an alien. Oh man, Patrick is one of my favorite dudes on Giant Bomb. To hear this news is just heartbreaking. You and your father are in my thoughts, Patrick. Peace be with you.

Short Answer: Buy.

I personally loved the combat, but the overused areas were really annoying. I liked where the story was going but by the end, I just was pissed; it was a horrible f*ing ending: I expected so much more from it. The vehicle combat was okay; however, I didn't really think it was necessary to the game. If they took more time making more interesting areas to explore rather than just a large area, that is essentially unused, they could've had a much more open and exciting world. With more side stories, that could've been actually interesting, I could've forgiven the main story, but it was all too linear. I thought the graphics and art style were great. Yeah the pop-ins were a bit annoying, but I could forgive it; nothing is perfect.

@ccampb89: I'm not saying the DRM is broke, or their game is broke. IN FACT, I have bought the game and played it, it's just fine. However, I just want the ability to play it offline. There isn't internet everywhere I go, which means I paid for a game that I can't play, a SINGLE-player game, anytime I want.

The idea that we as the consumer deserve everything our way is absurd." first of all, I never said that we need it to be, 'our' way, second of all there are a number of legal court cases that prove your statement is fallible. Just because a game is entertainment means it is immune to critical reaction and the voice of the individual? And Battle.net, people are going to think less of them because they pulled out a little bit from Battle.net, really? I mean that's is so absurd. It's like saying people in the Middle East are going to hate us forever because we left Iraq, rather then stay and continue to bleed and toil for their country. If the blizzard really wanted to stop pirates, I think they should find a way to do it without harming the experience of the individual who actually bought the product fairly.
