I've used up all my level slots, so I could really use y'all looking at and, if they're worthwhile, maybe starring what I've already got up. These levels are all new since my last post:

"Three Puzzles"

"The Frozen Wave"

"The Ice Cave"

"Wenn Er in die Holle will..." (v. challenging)

"The Labyrinth Revival"

Making levels is super-addictive. I'm supposed to be focusing on my work right now, but I can't help design the next level in my head already. I'm trying to make classic Super Mario levels that would have been possible in the original game, since SMM is already over-encumbered with others' gimmick levels.

Playing other people's levels is a bit of a crap-shoot right now, but I think it will shore up in time. For now, I get the most enjoyment out of playing friends' levels.

I've been trying to make levels that could have existed in the original Super Mario Bros., but dense with alternate paths, fail saves, and optional areas. Haven't unlocked later tools yet, but I think the limitations have actually forced me to be more creative trying to make well-rounded levels.

My first two:

"KLASSIK"

"GROTTO"

I mostly listen to film music, but I have a huge thing for Michael Giacchino's early Medal of Honor scores. They've been in heavy rotation lately. Austin Wintory and Olivier Deriviere also grace my playlists with increasing frequency these days. I didn't like Remember Me as a game, but the soundtrack was brilliant.

So, is it feasible to solo this game?

No, we're being earnest. I like the new slick art direction a lot - getting a Suda51 kind of vibe from it - and the combat looks pretty darn fluid.

After Devil May Cry 4 I thought I was pretty much done with the series, but I'm very much on board again.

your incorrect opinion about the awesome Alpha Protocol renders your argument invalid.

This. Alpha Protocol actually had four very diverse endings. It's a great example of this kind of thing DONE RIGHT.

@VanillaPlant: That's funny, most people ask if I'm related to Marlene Dietrich.

I remember laughing my ass off back in the day about Dietrich and the Gizmondo scandal. Thanks for taking me back.

But no, not in any way affiliated with either. :)
