Lara Croft circa 1996.  As a teenage boy, she was like a female version of Indiana Jones, only better, because she wore tight clothes and had lady parts.  Just as bad ass as Indy too, if not more so -- her acrobatic ability to start firing at a bear coming full speed at her, flip, bounce off the wall, grab a ledge all while never missing a shot was crazy.

Also Quistis from FF8.

Haven't had a crush on the idea of a game chick for many years now.  But if I were to develop one today, Bayonetta would be the prime choice.  ;)

The only thing I miss from being a child is the new experiences I had with everything (not just games).  Nothing beats your first "insert whatever" here.  Games are still fun, but I wish I could imagine what it would be like being a kid today with the games coming out now.

I guess in a weird round-about way I also kind of miss having a super limited selection of games to play due to being broke.  I cherished what I had, now I go through games like water, sometimes not even finishing them.  I'm trying ot get back to a mentality that will accept getting 1 new game a month.  Which is a huge step up from my childhood years where I would get 2 games a year, and even in my adolescent years getting more than 1 game per month was very rare.
