@mrangryface: yeah, I’ve really come to value opinions about games from people outside the industry but that was a really odd dynamic from someone who’s in it. I just have to assume they are very talented writer and artist who has a handful of games they are pretty passionate about.
Jeff still made it flow like a pro and I still like the idea of branching the morning show to more unfamiliar faces even if they don’t classify as a gaming knowledge generalist per say.
Total speculation but I’d wager that the “Sus” podcast Jeff mentioned was Colin Moriartys Sacred Symbols podcast. Not an outright Alt right gaming YouTube channel by any means but they definitely see themselves as the pirate radio of games press. Colin’s still living that weird 2010 PS3 era PlayStation or nothing stance but it is interesting to see what his alternate take is on gaming even if I rarely agree
Nier is 60fps on all versions. Some drops on the base consoles but yeah. 1080p on Pro and 1440p on One X. The loading times are significantly faster on the series consoles than the PS5 running on Backwards compatibility for some strange reason. We’re talking 5 seconds compared to 15 on initial load
