@haz: You are correct. but you could argue WiiU is the worst, followed by N64. N64 has nostalgia, so people dont typically agree, but the console wasn't great and it had the worst controller ever made.

@retris: I'd be shocked if Jericho drops it this early. Need him to be champ for TNT until more AEW names become household and I don't see him having more than one run, but his run will be fairly long( he is 48 after all). Jericho in AEW reminds me alot of Shane Douglas in early ECW for some reason. Plus W/L "matter" and Cody hasn't lost a single match yet.

I do not understand the appeal or the people who want to go back to this version of the game but I wish all of you the best. I hope your memories are being truthful to you.

Pretty glad I didn't get the season pass as Shang is basically the only character I want, though I haven't even bought him since his movie skin is locked behind the season pass.

Spawn is lame as hell, and it's all been leaked for a while so none of it is exciting or interesting really. I liked MK11 a lot but everything around the DLC has been disappointing.

People getting made about the dates being too long is also pretty funny, given that Smash came out last December and is going to have its last character at about the same time, but I haven't seen any complaints there. If they came out closer people would probably accuse them of cutting stuff from the base game, so it's a real no-win.

I dont mind the gap in the dates, its just the only guest I wanted to play was Spawn which happens to be the very last one... And Shang's movie skin is unlocked by doing the kharacter tutorial, not the Season Pass, unless the skins are different for the tutorials..

My Thoughts:

1: Of course Spawn is last...and in March no less..when no one outside of Pro players will still be playing..

2: There are literally 20 other things I'd rather have than Terminator or Joker...

*3: Its worth noting that Ash from Evil Dead, Sheeva & Fujin were all datamined back in April/May along with these. So expect more after March..

4: I "knew' these were going to be the DLC, but I held out hope that Joker was actually Pennywise or a skin for Pennywise ( they did multiple characters in one in Injustice 2) and Doomguy was actually Terminator (same situation as Joker)

5: I hate that Terminator is in like everything now

Thoughts?

Given the timing, I wonder if this turn of events played a role in Sony's acquisition of Insomniac? With Disney owning the video game rights could they have swung in scooping them up preventing the sequel....which they have to be already at work on....from being a Playstation exclusive or even appearing on Sony's platform?

Yeah this is a weird one. I know that SIE and Sony Pictures are two, completely separate divisions, so maybe there is a different deal in place. If Insomniac is STILL doing SM2, there is 0% chance its not a PS5 exclusive, but the fall out from this deal could result in Disney giving the game to someone else and making it multiplatform. We've had plenty of bad SM games before Insomniac.

Update to this ( I researched a little): While Marvel owns both Marvel Studios and Marvel Games, they are different umbrellas just like Sony with SIE and Sony Pictures. The deal with Playstation (SIE) was done with Marvel Games and it will not be affected by the movie stuff.

50/50 seems like a big change but countering that offer with "hey but how about 5%?" seems equally idiotic. They could have agreed on like a 20/80 or even 30/70 split but now the whole thing is kind of fucked so good job greedy executives.

This is the thing. Don't forget Disney got 100% of merchandising rights... 50/50 is absurdly bad deal especially when Disney literally put $0 in. Anybody putting the blame on strictly Sony is purely blinded by Disney fandom. People acting like Sony cant make a good Spider Man movie as if Into the Spiderverse doesn't exist. Nevermind Sony made 5 live action movies BEFORE the Tom Holland saga (good or bad is irrelevant to the point) and Venom made an insane amount of money for a movie that really wasn't great. Spiderman was just fine before the MCU.

As I a comics fan and an MCU fan, I hate this. I love Spider Man and Tom Holland's Peter Parker, I love that Spider Man is part of and a huge focus in the MCU. At least the comics and MCU will be more alike than ever now with messy, convoluted stories and a bunch of retcons coming...amirite

It may bite Sony in the ass, but good for them for standing up to Disney

Maybe Marvel shouldn't have sold the rights to Spider-Man over to Sony in the 90's and we would never be in this situation

I've complained about it here before. But Sundered is the game that most aggressively undercut my expectations. I was even going in feeling a little iffy about it. But then it was just so underdeveloped I actually couldnt believe it. My low bar was clearly not low enough... God I actually found it so upsetting. And I'm rarely ever disappointed in games I try, because of my general disposition and awareness of my own taste.

I have to ask what specifically you didn't like about it? While I like Jotun more, I've enjoyed Sundered on the Switch. My biggest complaint is the seemingly random hordes of enemies that just pop up. out of nowhere I guess because the game doesn't like you exploring without some form of resistance
