Great list, Jan! Slay the Spire is super good. It's such a simple premise but so well designed and executed. Both it and Dead Cells were games I got into that "one more run" mentality over the course of the year.
Red Dead comments read more like this a most disappointing list than a favorites list, tbh. Not to say you aren't allowed to share your opinion on it, I know a lot of people will agree with everything you said, but it just sets an odd tone in an otherwise celebratory list of your favorite games.
Now this is a list I can get behind. I'm so with you on wanting to experience Obra Dinn again for the first time. I'm excited to finally jump into Tetris Effect after all the effusive praise it's gotten!
Even down at number 9, that is a HUGE win for Spider-Man coming from Dan. Bummed he grew to hate Red Dead, which I feel like is a comment I'll probably be leaving on a lot of people's lists this year.
Are we counting Slay the Spire as 2018? It was in early-access starting last year, I think, and I'm not sure it has actually officially "released" yet. I put it and Dead Cells on my list, even with the whole early-access shenanigans. Release dates are weird.
