Followed them all on Gamespot for a long time, then followed Jeff and Ryan to the Arrow pointing down podcast. Loved 'How to build a bomb' series and the rest is history. Pretty much the only gaming site I have time for nowadays.
If I have to pay a fee to play a used game I have bought from a store or anyone, then maybe xbox one isn't for me. Who are they to tell me I can't even give my game to a friend and let them play it? So if it going to be true, if I was to lend my mate a game he would have to pay to play it on his system. That would be madness.
Steam doesn't allow me to lend my games or even buy second hand games. I hear nothing but praise for Valve and Steam.
There is no expectation to be able to do that with digital games. However when you buy a boxed copy those expectations change.
The pricing of games on Steam are also completely fucking different from the pricing scheme on console games, boxed and digital.
I agree with this, if the consoles start pricing there games like Steam and have great deals I don't care about used games.
@ck1nd: Sorry guys, the price keeps spiking above my bid which shuts down the server instance. Luckily Villainy has been kind of enough to offer the potential of a better hosting situation, I'm working with him to move things around.
Feel free to set-up a donation PayPal to help pay for the up-keep. I wouldn't mind throwing down a couple of bucks here and there to help keep a GB Tekkit server alive :)
I have been playing a bunch of Tekkit on my own, I think it would be fun to join a server. If you still have some slots open I would appreciate being added to the whitelist.
