Didn't really know which was the correct ending thread to post this in (fuck me there are a lot). But yeah this whole Mass Effect 3 ending has snowballed further than I would have thought, with a story actually appearing on the front page of the BBC news website.

I mean I hate the ending, like a lot. I wanted closure, but has this not gone a little too far?

Also this fucking quote from Casey Hudson:

@thaijedi: Not really, these aren't nearly as arcady. The X series are sims, you need to trade and build stations, create an empire to get decent credits. Not saying they aren't fun though, had some great times with the games, just not for the faint of heart ha.

Also X3: The Terran Conflict I think is the most new user friendly...not saying much though.

@Grilledcheez: You get a pretty decent one right near the end of the main quest I think. Has +50 magika and 20% reduction to destruction and restoration. I prefer that over Morekei. For other magika reducing items the Arch Mage's robes are great, that's obviously reward for college of winterhold quests.

@BlinkyTM: They come from Dragon Priests, they are high level creatures (people?) who are stupidly powerful. Encounter a few over the guild quests/main quest and rest are in dungeons, think one is by a dragon wall.

I use a staff that I got off a dragon priest occasionally when things get hairy. Can't remember the name but basically puts lightning on the ground and does 50 damage per second to that spot, so just kite enemies through it.

Well I preordered about a week ago, and I'm excited. I'm not expecting the second coming of MMOs, I'm expecting a story driven MMO with companions in space, so I doubt I will be disappointed.

I played WoW for quite a while and enjoyed it so if the combat is similar, I'm cool with that. Plus I don't have time for WoW endgame anymore so the idea of just rerolling and having a whole new story is pretty exciting for me.

All in all I'm just excited to make a smuggler and shoot first, with a wookie by my side.

Official release date has been release, 20th in NA 22nd in EU.
