Yes, I agree.  Oblivion was the same for me. I spent over 300 hours playing it on one file and hadn't finished all the side missions. It seems that is the case for most Bethesda games.

The non-existent option where I don't mind the UI and find it usuable, though annoying but if an Oblivion or Morrowind-style UI for the equipment/stats menu comes up I will use that instead.

Skyrim is better in almost every way. The only thing I like about Oblivion more is that there is more stuff to steal and I like robbing people more in general in it, and the menu interface isn't borked when you want to use a mouse. Otherwise, Skyrim improves on everything.

People said this in 2008. We told them to go away. People say this in 2011, we still tell them to go away. Read the review, don't just look at the score.

Is it perfect? Absolutely not. Does it have lots of kinda broken things? Sure does. That doesn't matter when it's as amazing as it is. Now excuse me while I go shoot more heroi... err... play more Skyrim.

It plays good enough that I've become hopeless addicted to it, which is a rarity.

Now back to snorting a line of co... err... playing Skyrim.

@Ben_H: Yeah but if we did that... we wouldn't have the insane kids who rush into fights, get shot and need to be healed, thus making 9k 1 kill matches less possible.

But yeah engineers rocketing infantry is the most annoying thing I've been encountering. I remember in BF2 you basically had to hit them directly with the rocket to do any significant damage, which kept that business at a minimum. It's like they don't know what grenades are for.

Oh I know. BF2 rockets took crazy skill and it was always so cool when someone died to it (which was rare). it was basically instagib from Quake but with a delayed shot. If it hit they died but if it didn't you wasted a rocket. They need to shrink the splash on rockets a ton so it's not so badly abused.

I counter your suicidal kids with the well rounded squads you would see in BF2 where you would get crazy amounts of revives and heals because you stayed in cover and let the assault and support guy do the shooting while you stayed in cover and only did suppression fire (that was awesome! You were basically unstoppable if you coordinated well and didn't get dominated by the tank drivers who actually knew what they were doing). Though yes, the insane kids do pad our scores quite well.

Edit: also, here's what I mean when I say crazy clan squads who coordinate (keep in mind this was a 32 player game on that port map). I played horribly in that game because I was playing mostly support for my squad but those three on the left were unstoppable:

Now get that score with 0 kills and I'd truly be impressed. Paddles n' caps, paddles n' caps.

Hell yes, 9k score with 1 kill (It was a knife kill in my case). I've done that. That's Battlefield, not focusing solely on anti-infantry. It's like all the engineers who use their rockets to kill people instead of anti-armour like they're supposed to be used for. They're missing the point. If you want to play like that play a game designed for that, not a team game where team work is rewarded. I wish we could get the old BF2 community all together on one server so people would play the game properly, none of this k/d crap and camping that plagues this game.

Get out of my topic, there is a difference between getting 2 kills and 1 death and 58 kills and 29 deaths. They are both 2KDR but completely different. So your saying you put up 58 kills while getting the objective on the xbox with only 24 players? jealous son?

That's not a huge feat, I've seen a guy get 12k with only 10 kills by purely capping points, reviving and dropping medkits in a shorter 32 player round. I've also seen a guy go on a 25 kill streak before dying in one game (He never ran out of ammo because of teamwork, something most people don't get). I myself have gone 9:1 k/d while getting flag captures, reviving and healing dudes and getting over 9k in a short 32 player round but do I brag about it and create a thread? No, because no one cares. You created a thread bragging about something that isn't even that impressive and now you're getting mad for people calling you out on your crap. You should come play on PC with all the oldschool BF2 players and organized clan squads who dominate everyone before you proclaim your supposed godliness at this game. Chances are it will make you a little more humble.

I'm surprised you would be so rude to imsh_pl (and other members of the community). He's a well known member of the community (Plus he's a fellow Day9 fan), and in this case he along with Mikemcn definitely on the mark.
