No way is 360 for FPS only. While I could see why someone uninformed would say that, XBOX360 has the best shooters on the market today; Halo , half life, Call of duty, Bioshock, Perfect dark etc etc. but 360 also has just as much control across well pretty much every genre on consoles except platformers.
I mean, RPG's are best on 360. No debate there. Infinite undiscovery, ToV, Star ocean, Mistwalker games and FF13 coming up with more to come probably. WRPG's are also best on 360. Fable, Oblivion, mass effect etc.
On top of RPG's, Fighters are best on 360. Dead or alive 4, virtua fighter 5 online are the two top fighting games this generation score wise, and both can only be found on 360. not to mention SC4 which is great too.
On top of all those you have racing dominance on 360 with forza and PGR, TPS dominance with gears of war, adventure games dominance with Dead rising(which beat zelda:TP in GS's 2006 goty awards for best Adventure) and all the other games you won't find anywhere else. Ace combat 6 and etc.
360 has the best of all genres not just FPS. PS3 on the other hand... well, FPS is their biggest market, and sony doesn't seem to care for much else in trying to mimic HALO's success.
Microsoft: Brought us the goods, RE5, Fable 2, Fallout and gears of war 2. Gamings Finest all lined up on the X. Final Fantasy 13 made PS3 irrelevant, and literally made a select few of the rival console owners cry. If that's not a victory I don't know what is.
Sony: Ill give them one thing, they showed the most games and new games. too bad almost all of them are utterly uninteresting. More bland, generic military shooting games like MAG? come on sony, get some real games.
Nintendo: Shoeless indian air drummers, grandmas on the screen, Carrot top on a balance board? Get real. N has completely lost it and should be taken out of the industry. They're shaming gaming with their terrible approach on the market.
360 gets all the love because it has the best games, plain and simple. PS3 gets no love because its more expensive than 360, has only 1 good game on it and loses any other game worth a damn. PS3 doesn't really do a single thing better than 360, its just a waste.
360 version, EGM just confirmed vader is garbage and yoda is the better of the two.
but who cares about star wars characters what im really looking forward to is the premier online experience over XBOX live and the better framerate/sharper graphics that the 360 version of games always deliver.
