hates them internets

So we are hours away from the big sony event and the word is that they will livestream it which makes sense. but WTF is wrong with the internet really a search for the events only leads you to coverage sites which may or may not have live chats about the thing and it is no where clear that hey here is the site you can see whole chabang. Just made me think , you know we are not in the bbs era anymore we should not have to dig through all this crap to get to what we want.Maybe im old though or maybe im drunk(so i missed it ), maybe its cuz i live in osaka now and inquires feed me localized content , who knows, it just feels really tedious for a simple thing , go her watch this , bang. then after that i want the media coverage and opinions...

what games affected you most this generation?

This generation i feel has offered a lot in the terms of growrth in games and their stories. But what has affected you huys the most ? for me i guess its the story of john marston in /red-dead-redemption/61-25249/ that takes the cake or a close second in solid snake in /metal-gear-solid-4-guns-of-the-patriots/61-20669/ . I mean this not as regard to how good the games are actually but how they affected me and you personally.

Psn/ ps3 party games

So I'm having A couple of friends over this weekend and thought it might be cool to fire some good psn game up together with a few beers. We have done this before and created drinking games out of bomberman and fighting games but I'm hunting for some new ideas. Has to be on ps3 or pc since my Xbox gone belly up and I won't be replacing that thing . So any suggestions ?

Deus Ex

So, Just finished through Deus ex human revolution and have to say I thoroughly enjoyed that game. I really like the story and the way it handles player progression , except the horrid boss battles. Now this has just increased my appetite and was wondering if there's anything else out there in the same vein ? I guess Syndicate is an obvious choice but from what I could tell from it its actually pretty far apart from each other ?

Or am I simply better off installing the original Deus Ex wich I haven't really played since my first play through when it was launched. I have heard it has gotten some pretty significant graphic mods done to it through the years which might be interesting to check out. But is there anything new out there ? Or is it back to the good old stuff to get another taste at this ?

The new new Giantbomb this time its New

So today news has kinda left me in a weird place and kinda felt like the world shifted and inch or so for me today. I hope for the best of course but i still feel kinda like this is reminiscent of graduating from school.

There´s the feeling that you always knew that it was coming and that everybody has to grow out of that time but when you are there you know that things aren't gonna be quite the same again. People will grow apart and it will be things that over time will loose contact and fade away (Rorie , Tested ) and through the process of growing you advance to new heights or lows. I have really enjoyed the independent spirit of GB over the years with them speaking out whats really on their mind like normal people , once in a while having occasion to get drunk and have parties , as normal people, being able to say the fucking f word or c word, like normal people without being bleeped out or cut away like so much else in american entertainment ( fuck PG 13). That said I gotta give these guys the benefit of the doubt for now but i guess changes are inevitable in the end, as part of growth. Again to go back to my graduating analogy , you stick around with you buddies for the first year or two but then its when the real changes of life is gonna happen and I just hope that the changes will be for the better and that they wont loose too much of their voice by being part of CBS corp.

At a time i kinda hope d GB would change the face of game journalism and go from being dependent on publishers and have more Independence and not have the constant threat of content lockout or add cash removal that might or might not affect the way its done.

Again I have to stress that i believe in the duders and hope for the best but i cant avoid to fell that this is the end of an era of somewhat independent GB content and that changes are a coming. Just hoping they are more for the better than worse.

But how do you guys think about this?

Skyrim and norse/fantasy themes

So i pretty much finished up playing through the Skyrim game and became a bit curious as to how much of actual Norse myth Bethesda actually looked into while creating the game, maybe allot maybe just a little. I mean there´s many themes that reminds me of my youth and tales of that time. I don't know if its deliberate but i think that the mist in sovengarde at the end is a nice touch. In old stories its in the mist where you meet fairies/elves and the dead, draugirh/ ghasts and ghouls. and the hall in the end is also kinda cool i was half expecting an pig on the table named saerimmer like in the depiction of vallheul. Just wondering what you guys think if they actually looked into this stuff or if this is just kinda seeped into fantasy tropes over the years and what Bethesda mostly did was to depict burly men of skyrim, ie fantasy vikings?

Game of thrones the game?

So , started Witcher 2 and its probably the best rendition of a game of thrones type world in a game and probably ways better than the official games of the series based upon what i have seen.

Really like the dark drab world it is painting and the way choices are presented, Geralt is awesome in like a hard boiled western type of character that's evocative of Clint Eastwood in his heyday.

unforeseen circumstances

Man, write up on the "Classic " Neverend was coming along fine then workshop for skyrim happened. Lots of fun to be had just trying out new stuff, really hope time will make the good stuff rise above the waste water since now it can be allot of hit and miss.

And oh, Neverend is basically your friendly eastern block take on JRPG.

Descent into darkness

Going to start my new task to play and review some cheap , forgotten bargain bin games that sadly lack presentation on the site. And just like when dealing with elderich horrors i expect its sometimes surviving with what you have seen that is the true punishment.
