Wolfenstein 2 definitely is my top highlight of E3 so far, though there's a lot more to see this week. Hilarious, charismatic, weird, and downright chilling (and sadly relevant), this game's personality, world building, and look are so strong. I haven't been this intrigued by a video game in a long time.

Random thought: It was cool to hear a Duran Duran song in a video game trailer, though it was a somber cover. I was hoping we could make it through E3 without a somber cover, but Bethesda really poured it on during their presentation.

Battlefront II, Need for Speed, and A Way Out looked great! The audio was just fine and the crew didn't talk any more than they have during previous years and their take on YouTubers didn't come off as dramatically negative as some commenters are making it seem; christ, people just love to bitch. smh

I believe that this will be a much better game than the first one and what it should have been at launch... I think EA realizes that they can't afford to have the same amount of mixed critical reaction of the last release. The multiple studios, the single player campaign, the marketing, and their message about free DLC (but I expect microtransactions like Titanfall 2) tells me that they are paying attention to the players. Well, except for including a Galactic Conquest mode, but we'll see.

@ronniebarzel: Didn't know that! I'm going to have to dig that up. Thanks for the heads up.

@onekillwonder_: I didn't know that either. I'm definitely going to dig that up. :D

Y'all were talking about creepy horror movie kids. The earliest ones I can think of are:

The Omen (1976)

The Shining (1980)

Poltergeist (1982)

Children of the Corn (1984)

If Rosemary's Baby counts, I think that was 1968 - that's not quite in the spirit of what you're talking about, though. There's also The Exorcist, but that's also a different kind of creepy.

The Bad Seed is from 1956, that's the oldest I can think of. Also, I think the original Village of the Damned was around 1960. Creepy, evil kids go waaay back.

The earliest I can think of is the short story "It's a Good Life" about a creepy, not-really-evil-but-a-misguided-asshole kid with godlike mind powers that allows him to do anything he wants. It was made into an episode of The Twilight Zone and was a segment in The Twilight Zone movie from the early 80s. The original short story is the best version because it does things that the broadcasted versions couldn't and is definitely the eeriest out of the three.

It seems like this game was released rather hastily as a response to those wanting a crash mode game after seeing Dangerous Golf. This definitely needed more development time.

The devs were quick to release updates in a response to the criticisms of Dangerous Golf, so hopefully they do the same here. A snappier interface would definitely be an improvement.

This is most certainly not a B-game. From the license to the writing, certain individuals behind the scenes, the visual production, the audio production (from actual orchestral score to sound effects to voice acting), the marketing behind it, and the collectable paraphernalia around it, this game had AAA written all over it regardless of its debatable critical success.

Considering it's a decade later, it's easy to consider it as a B-game just because of how technology, production, gameplay expectations, and budgets changed over time.

Star Wars Demolition, Episode I Racer, Battle for Naboo, The Clone Wars, or Super Bombad Racing would have been better choices instead of TFU. Heck, TFU II would have been a better choice...
