Even though there aren't a whole of new games for the genre coming out, I've been having an RTS renaissance. There's plenty of great RTS games both old and new if you know where to look.

If you don't mind waiting, Age of Empires III is getting a remaster with new content in October. The remastered versions of Command & Conquer and Age of Empires II are also great. C&C Remastered might feel a bit simplistic but it's still a great time and AoE II is always a classic. The remasters both include some quality of life changes to make the games feel closer to modern standards.

For more modern stuff, Starcraft II is always a solid choice. Worth mentioning that if campaign co-op is your thing, there is a series of custom maps that remake the campaign missions to be playable with 3 players.

Iron Harvest is a recent release that might be worth checking out, but it seems overpriced at $50. Company of Heroes 2 would probably give you more bang for your buck and a very similar experience. If you're only interested in playing a single CoH 2 faction, you can literally just buy the DLC faction of your choice and play it standalone. Should note that neither of those two games have an FFA mode so you won't be able to play against each other with 3 people.

Halo Wars 2 I feel always gets overlooked. You can get it on Game Pass, and it's a great casual RTS that still has a lot of variety. The controls are a little funky though due to being made for consoles and it also lacks a FFA mode.
