@dougfunk15: The reason it is work for them is they have to produce content with what they see at E3. That's why they are able to go to E3. It isn't like they just get to walk around, play games, talk to developers and then go home. On top of that, they have to put in hours and hours of work to put together articles and videos and podcasts talking about what they saw, edit together interviews cut with B-roll footage. It isn't a big party for industry folk, there is a lot of work that goes into it.
For just going to the moon, you don't need to worry about batteries and keeping an electric charge, as long as you turn off SAS when you timewarp to the encounter with the moon. I've taken a few trips there where I forget to turn off SAS, and I'm out of power when I come out of the timewarp, and then you can't pilot the ship after that. But while your engines are running, they will charge your ship.
On the topic of GTA V single player DLC, I wonder if that content would come to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. They are not updating the online aspect of those versions anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if the GTA V DLC was only on current gen consoles and PC.
I'm glad that Kerbal was rated so high. I haven't played much in recent time, but I started playing that game since its first public release, and seeing progress over the years has been exciting. I know best moment for Vinny was getting into orbit, but when you land on the moon for the first time is even better.
EDIT: Just watched the third GBeast Kerbal video, and saw that they landed.
I've come to the realization that any food that costs more than $5 is fancy to Dan. There is nothing fancy about Chipotle. Or maybe it is because you get to see your burrito assembled in front of you makes it fancy?
It could also be the Kansas mentality. I am from Kansas as well. I remember when an Olive Garden was getting built in our town, and people were excited for "authentic Italian food."
I don't know if Vinny is reading the comments for tips, but I just wanted to drop a few. I know this is for comedy, but if he is serious about getting to the moon and back, these will help.
The ship has way too much horsepower for getting to the moon. You could do the asparagus staging at lift off, and then have three fuel tanks with one engine on the upper stage to get you to the moon, land, and get back.
Since there is little gravity in space and on the moon, it doesn't take that much change in velocity to perform the maneuvers you need to get to the moon and back.
If you are using SRBs to launch, it might be easier to make sure that the SRBs burn up before you need to start making your gravity turn. The SRBs do not have gimbles, which means they will not move your ship if you try to steer it.
Put a reaction wheel right underneath the capsule if you must have it. It helps keep your ship symmetrical and reduces drag, which is something that is in the game now.
Don't go to the apoapsis and then turn sideways and burn to get into orbit. It is much more fuel efficient to make your trajectory flat as you fly up, making sure the apoapsis stays about 70K. That way when you get to the apoapsis to burn to round out your orbit, you only need around 500 m/s change in velocity instead of 2000 m/s.
