@WinterSnowblind: Yeah. They've done a much better job this time, for sure. It still just didn't hook me. There are a TON of great ideas in the game. It's just my personal preference.
I can't really recommend it for anyone but people that want to play with friends.
I tried every character class for a while and just got tired of hitting the same buttons every fight, just like every other MMO in the world. Except this one is worse in that you can have every skill in the game by lvl 5. And, if you don't like those few configurations of skills, you get to try another class or quit.
I ended up playing AA well after launch and for a low price.
What the OP describes is exactly the reason why I don't consider single player games to be great launch purchases . It's like, I loved AA at that price, but $60 as an asking price for something I'll play and finish in a week does not compute. Arkham City will be more Batman AA, with some a couple of differences in gameplay.
I'm not the norm, I know you people won't agree, but whatever. This article just isn't that surprising to me.
