I'm hoping this is like some good gaming franchises and does take a year off. The Kessler bit started funny and then went on WAAAAAAY too long and then the whole segment seems to have run it's course because they're trying to one up themselves each year.
Also, and this is a selfish thing, I do always feel it's a shame when they get and Lang and Boyes on and don't get a chance to ask some actual industry quesitons. Some of the best bombcasts have been Lang talking about the industry from his current perspective in it.
Happy New Year with a Will Smith podcast. A great start but I'm starting to want a time stamp for anytime they talk about PUBG just so I can skip them.
At times it feels like they give just a nod or maybe two sentences to most games but then spend half an hour talking about PUBG. It feels disheartening sometimes, but that's probably just me.
It definitely isn't just you. The recent notifications that Jeff was streaming on Twitch were a massive let down when it was just Will playing more PUBG.
Glad that PUBG won, even though I hate the game and the proliferation of content on all sites due to it. I'm just in the minority of opinions on this gane. Rest of the list is totally fine on a great gaming year like this. Opinions are funny things.
Won't listen to this segment just in case there are Nier spoilers (having just received it for Christmas), but I do hope that Odyssey is in the top 3 if only for this Wooded Kingdom tune that may be my favourite bit of music all year. It's just so happy and jaunty :-)
