Batman: Arkham City has some amazing open-world exploration similar to Saints Row and has possibly the best hand-to-hand combat of any game I have ever seen with fantastic action to boot. If he has a PS3 then Uncharted 3 is worth mentioning as well. I have not played it yet, but it scored high and there is no reason to believe the franchise has suddenly stopped being awesome.

Before you say those are out of the 30$ range you mentioned, I would say that they're on sale today...for 40$, but it is worth it. Well, Batman is at least.

New game, yes.

As far as older games are considered i've also picked up Red Steel 2 with WM+ (actually got this game for Zelda). It was like buying WM+ and getting a decent game for 5 bucks.

Oh, Mr. Connery...is there anything he can't do?

Great review.

Drakensang: The River of Time

I thought it was a great group time stopping RPG like Dragon Age, but it didn't get the coverage like other games of the same type did. Not quite as good as other games of the same sub-genre, but really amazing overall.

I know this blog is from a few months ago, but I remember reading it and liking it so I decided to give it a bump because of the topic being related to art and video games which seems to be a peaking discussion right now. I also like how it avoids the whole "video games are or are not art" thing.

Sexism really bothers me. Especially when it is in games like "Duke Nukem" or even treating women like objects in "God of War".

I would like to get back to my hyper intensive murder simulator please. Thank you.

If the original "Thing" wasn't on your list you would have lost all credibility in my book. Good list.

@I_smell

Good video, although why did it have all of those creepy slowly rotating close-ups?
