Thank you from a long-time, quiet fan. I know Vinny, Brad, and Alex will all do awesome things in their future endeavors. Your videos, goofs, discussions, and everything have been a core part of my entertainment for many years, and while I am nostalgic and a bit mournful, I know this is not the end, but three new beginnings.

Good luck to them all, and I hope to see them all again.

Thanks to everyone who made it this week (and every fight night)! We had 16 people tonight! That's awesome!

And, thanks to Mike and Mace for getting the fight nights going. I didn't have opportunities to play Xrd with much of anyone before, and then this came along, so it's been great to have people to play and fool around with while I try to learn more. And, I too tend to get anxious about playing with people, generally, so it's been nice to hang with cool folks.

People have been ravin' about our dizzying tournaments for weeks now, and I know I've been having a lot of fun, so the only answer was to chip in to the pot for some prizes as a kind of valentine to this game and anime FGs like it! May everyone come on in and jam with us, no faustian bargain necessary.

Yay! Also, that thumbnail!

A million thanks to @esrever for running things again. We've been getting a good stream of new players here and there, maybe as thanks, on the 30th, can we get 16 people in the tournament!?

The Hori buttons are definitely a bit of an acquired taste. Kuro buttons in the old RAP4 seemed to have a bad (squeaky) batch, but recently I've preferred good Kuros over Sanwa OBSF30s (but OBSF30s are definitely more consistent). Hayabusa buttons in new RAP4s are more linear with moderate resistance, as @hmoney001 indicated. In the end it's all about personal preference, and a stock RAP4 will definitely do you well if you're still getting acclimated to the wonderful world of arcade stick parts.

Oh, and for the Rev2 question, if player base is a factor then I think PS4 edges out unless you already have PC friends who'll play it. Agreed that you should get either version, though, it's a great game and there's a lot of fighting game goodness for your money.

Thirding a recommendation for the Hori Real Arcade Pro 4 Kai. I rocked it vanilla for a while; the lever is great, and it's pretty easy to open up and replace the buttons with Sanwas if you find yourself preferring a different feel. But yeah, if you're enterprising, you can mod/swap parts in any stick with modern PC/console support (just mind the legacy controller issue as mentioned above), or go out and get kits and build your weapon of choice.

Everyone's been super duders and I've had a ton of fun despite being on the lower end of the skill spectrum. People should absolutely join us if they're interested! Also, I was around to record matches yesterday.

And that's a wrap! THANK YOU to everyone who tuned in, even if only briefly. I don't know if a lot of duders were watching, but my college/work/IRC friends chipped in and helped shatter my $100 goal. And I beat all the games in Mega Man Legacy Collection in one sitting!
