Wow, what an incredible list. Thank you so much for putting this together. A great reminder of what games I should really go back and play before they're forever lost to The Backlog.
It hurts my heart to not see any Rock Band on this list. Mass Effect 2 is maybe the only game I've played more than Rock Band. I will attempt to take solace in the fact that it was the first runner-up.
@sahalarious: I mean, to be fair, literally every other person on the site is playing it, which is extremely uncommon. The game is getting an insane amount of coverage, compared to the average game. I don't see why she should be forced to play more than she wants when it's clearly getting its dues.
I think you may be interpreting this a hair too literally... The game isn't encouraging these actions. The characters are flawed for a reason. And their actions totally hit home in a weird way. Ever seen Garden State? I know it's fun to call it garbage but there's a reason its' themes resonated with some people for a reason. I've played about 4 hours and I'm totally in love, personally. The art, music, characters, and dialogue is charming as hell. ... I don't even remember why I started typing this. I just like the game. It makes me sad and happy the same way Gone Home and Life Is Strange did.
From the Quick Look, all I saw were characters that ranged from ineffectual to despicable, shallow and jaded dialogue, a glorification of sociopathy, and juvenile attempts at cool. One of the gay guys is a BEAR, for cryin' out loud! Civilization is fragile, people! It takes work to keep it going! Let's have a story that makes us want to be better people, not a paean to self-indulgence and despair.
lol, well, now I'm still curious what you're worried that they may have taken away. I loved HR and this sounds like more of a good thing -- aside from a few extra locations...
I loved Human Revolution Director's Cut but for very specific reasons. I'm really worried that they've taken those reasons away in Mankind Divided.
Just out of curiosity, what are the specific reasons you're referring to? I played through the regular version once and the DC twice. At this point, the only thing I remember is that they added more options for the boss fights...
