To those of you saying "This has been common knowledge for a long time": not everyone obsessively follows rumors. Also, I hadn't heard any news source saying it's Big Boss. As for the eyepatch, I hadn't notice that. Nice catch!

Anyway, I was mostly starting this thread because at that time the Giantbomb page said it looked like Solid Snake.

I personally think this game will star Big Boss. Why? Look at the logo on his sleeve:

That's the logo for Militaires Sans Frontieres, the organisation that Big Boss starts in Peace Walker. Personally, I hope this is a reboot anyway as I think both Big Boss and Solid Snake have finished their character arcs and anything further will likely just be spinning their wheels.

EDIT: I feel I need to clarify some things. At the time of creating this thread all of the stuff I was reading said that it appeared to be Solid Snake (including the Giantbomb page). This thread was an attempt to get out in front of that. Also I don't follow Kojima rumors as I find them extremely frustrating (remember when MGS 4 was almost certain to come to 360?)

I just started reading Cloud Atlas. It has a really interesting narrative structure and I can't wait to see where it goes with it.

I saved Doug because I related with him better (is that sad?). Also Carley needed more help with that radio than your average 5 year old.

I have shoulder-length reddish-brown hair with layering. My hair is very thick and curly and I find this to be sweet spot. Shorter and the curls take over and I can't do anything with it, longer and it gets too tangled and I again can't do anything with it.

Looks like the update/DLC has been delayed (to "this fall"). Also, I've read contradicting reports about charging for the multiplayer. All the reports I've seen talks about a online multiplayer update to come out at the same time as the Wallace DLC. So it may be that the multiplayer is free and you only pay for Wallace.

...OR they could be combining the online multiplayer and Wallace into one pack. Either way I'm buying the DLC because I'm crazy, but I don't think many other people will be online if they charge for the multiplayer.

These arguments have sold me on the game. I gotta find out for myself! I get the feeling that I'll like it, given that I like Obsidian's style of storytelling.

Do you think that Will Wright will be forgotten just because he has no children (that I am aware of)? Sure, he's super famous, but even a lesser known dev like Cactus or Derek Yu has left a memorable mark on the world.

There's a huge difference between a living breathing person and one's own success. I would rather have the first than the second.

Shakespeare has no living descendants. Just sayin'.
