@pornstorestiffi: You know what's really funny? A friend of mine just got a 360 and it red ringed after she had it for about three days. Bummer. I've had mine for about two years and haven't had any problems... yet.
Yeah, I got a 360 back when I had money and the main reason that I got it (as opposed to a PS3) was that all of my friends had them. This is good for a number of reasons. The first is that you can play online with them and the second is that you can borrow their games. If you have no friends to play with, it doesn't really matter, but it's certainly something to think about.
If that isn't of any concern to you, I would recommend what everyone else has said and suggest that you see what exclusives appeal to you. As a 360 owner, I don't give two craps about Halo or Gears of War but all of the awesome stuff on Xbox Live Arcade is more than enough reason to get a 360. PSN has tons of great downloadable stuff as well.
I guess what I'm saying is that it doesn't matter which console he gets because there are going to be games on the other console that he'll want to play at some point so he's screwed either way. They're both great systems... as is the PS2.
Power Stone is frickin' rad. I only played the second one and I seem to recall being upset at the low number of levels that were provided. I'm pretty sure that there were no unlockable ones. Correct me if I'm wrong.
This is totally stupid and it would never happen, but how awesome would it be if they made Smash Bros vs. Power Stone? They're basically the same game anyway, why not combine them?
Personally, I'm a big fan of Mega Man 2. That would have to be my absolute favorite soundtrack ever. Ouendan and Katamari Damacy are great as well. Watching the Endurance Run all this time, I find that I frequently get the P4 music stuck in my head as well. I think that is a mark as quality so I'll go ahead and put that on the list as well. Also, I haven't played it in ages, but I think I remember The 7th Guest having great music. OOH! Act-Raiser as well! I'm sure I'll think of more.
@TheGremp: I actually thought about adding lots of different items. Personally, I'm a big fan of cream cheese. However, ketchup and mustard are the two most common toppings so I just stuck with that.
Also, I've never heard of anyone putting mayo on a hot dog. I'll try that next time as I'm a big fan of mayo as well.
@mrcool11: Not a dumb question. This took me a little while too.
