How to make this deal a huge success:

1, Xbox for free when getting a 2 year plan. (It means MS will make same amount of money as with normal pricing but they will sell many more units and games so total revenue will increase substantially)

2, Available at all retailers

With the current scheme, it is like they are just testing the model instead of going full out.

Worst music ever!

Dragon quest VII for the PS. I used to be a JRPG fanboy and since dragon quest is really popular in Japan, I forced myself to try to like it. Played it for 40 hours, every single hour was tedious and boring but I didnt want to let go of my image of Japan as the kingdom of all great RPGs. Finally I realized what a fool I was and quit playing. I still regret paying 70 dollars for that crap!

I totally agree with Jeff! It seems as if the business model is too much in focus rather than the actual gameplay. If they want the business model to work, they need to first create a triple A title that people would happily pay 50 dollars for, and then they can call it free and tweak it for microtransactions.
 
As it is now, they seem to doubt the business model themselves and put minimum amount of resources to create the games. The result is often poor games which people only play the free parts of.  I havent seen any good cases yet but please correct me if I am wrong.

I know I will be dubbed a 360 fanboy after this post... but I actually boycott Sony. After all the crap they pulled before and after the launch of the PS3, I have a distaste for them. I really want to play Infamous and a bunch of other PS3 games but I dont want my money to go to Sony. I think MS will make better use of my money by investing in technologies I care for as a gamer. Sony will most likely spend it on developing 3d or some stupid shit I dont need. I hope I dont get too many hate replies after this...

I love Horde mode on GOW so I hope firefight will be even better than that. I am really looking forward to it. Especially since they will have some kind of matchmaking.

Most JRPGs... since I sense they will be really boring and really long. That's not always the case but I do get a daunting feeling. I have been so close to buying Star Ocean for the 360 since it is cheap... but I have not dared yet.
