On steam you can get older version of these games and get the 4th game with it (the sequel to déjà vu).

This 3 game package uses the NES versions of the games, which look a bit more colourful and might have other minor differences.

I’m having a hard time choosing which package to buy and replay. Anybody knows good reasons to choose one over the other ?

I was a big GT, GT2 and GT3 fan but the more recent games (GT4, GT5 and this demo) have not been able to reproduce the feeling of speed I get in the Forza and Dirt games (personal preference, I do understand that GT games are way more technical and less arcady).

I like to play with the "Behind the car view" and I like it when the camera is low and drifty (not static). In the GT6 Demo, I really didn't like how the (only) behind the car camera felt.

There are other things I didn't care for but this is just a demo...

I do appreciate the fact that they might have the menus and game interface right this time.

I am not sure but I thought they said, when Microsoft launched their downloable game platform that those purchases would be compatible with next gen Xboxes.

Does anyone remember if and/or when they said that ?

Right now (mid 2013) some people are angry that backwards compatibility is not in the picture for XBOX ONE but back when digital games started becoming available (and more and more popular) on consoles, I am pretty sure that gamers were worried about their purchases being stuck on a specific platform and being lost when newer consoles replaced the Xbox 360 and PS3.

I'd like to know what you might remember from that time, or better yet, finding an article where they actually said something about it, before they chose to go with a system architecture that made backwards compatibily impossible (or simply harder).

Personnaly, I used to have reservations about buying digital games and I'm pretty sure I read something that made me think that those purchases were not going to be regrettable in the long run. Of course now, it's obvious that bought gaming content on Xbox 360 will stay on that platform and not having a working console for that platform means that your purchases will be stuck in "limbo".

Would you have spent as much money on digital games if that fact was clear from the beginning ?

As for achievements, I wouldn't be surprised if they upped the total points for a Next-Gen-Xbox. 2000, 5000 or even 10,000 points per game would make newcomers able to reach a "respectable" gamer points total.

This is ridiculous but I'm sure some people would like it and that a lot of current Xbox would be pissed off by this change...

When is a game reviewer too old for that job ? Can an "old man" handle Holo-games ? We'll see when we get there, but if movie and music critics are any indication, we won't hve to worry about that for a while.

...and apparently I performed as though I were in my 60s or 70s.

Did anyone else try it out and do better?

Same thing happened to me today. In my case, it wasn't a big surprise. You might have gotten a good score (over 75%) but if you didn't go fast enough the game probably thinks you had a hard time remembering those numbers.
