What the eff does age have to do with it? If the games interest you, buy the machine you play them on. It's actually that simple. You answered your own question.
 
Sony will not make the next machine backward compatible either. They tried it with PS3 as you probably know, but it wasn't worth the extra cost. Microsoft also tried it with the 360 and failed miserably. No, backward compatibility is a concept from ages past. We won't see much of that in the future.

New videos for Assassin's Creed 3, Far Cry 3 (co-op y'all) and God of War was interesting (well, GoW wasn't really that good in all honesty - but hey, I wanted to know more). The highlights were Beyond and The Last of Us though, easily. Overall a pretty good conference as far as games goes. Tech talk was a bit anti-climactic, and the Wonderbook segment was far too tedious - the technology itself is rather interesting, though nothing completely new.
 
Also, Jack Tretton is the best host in the biz. Probably.

Easily the most interesting thing out of E3 as of yet. I will definitely keep this game on my radar.

I still think everyone that thinks Diablo 3 looks not as "dark" as 2 does so because the original ran at a crappy low resolution (by today's standards) and made everything look different because of it.

Shocking? Nah.
 
I'm somewhat split on this being a good or a bad thing. It does show that PC gaming is not dead, and games can sell like a motherfucker. But it also gives green light to all publishers that the worst possible DRM is accepted by the public. Or rather, no one cares enough.

I think Vinny is most open minded about everything and he seems to be the most reasonable when arguing about anything. Whenever they discuss something Vinny is never the one to hammer his point down - he will concede if someone makes a logical argument and is able to counter-argue back. If you listen to those 2011 GOTY deliberations, Vinny was a pretty big voice of reason. The way Brad argues about games is possibly the worst, middle school, way of argumenting I've ever seen where he just basically denies anything that he doesn't agree with.
